A Chinese researcher at the University of Wisconsin -Madison was doing GOF work in a lab there and he created a pathogen with a lethality of 60% . 200 million dead Americans just like that if it got loose. His superiors were so alarmed that they shut it down, destroyed the specimens and sent him home.
