When will the research be published re the efficacy of masks ?

Maybe at the same time as the efficacy of the vaccine.

Maybe the same time the data will be published with the numbers of people dying from COVID not COVID & other underlying diseases.

Expand full comment

Pandemic of testing. Never been tested myself, but who are these people lining up to be tested without symptoms? I would think that a covid testing center would be the last place that I would want to be, lol.

Expand full comment

The testing is all part of this IMHO. If they don't get us with one of the pieces of the compliance puzzle they will try to get us with another. That's why I have said NO to *all* of it from the beginning. No mask. No test. No distancing. No lock down. No No No. It amazes me that so many people will go get tested for something they don't have symptoms for so they can go home and be terrified. It's one thing to be screened for cancer. But tested for a cold, flu or any type of respiratory virus before having symptoms? Those things are almost never-ending and we would always find ourselves testing positive for something eventually. It's absolute madness and amazing that so many just can't see it.

Expand full comment

And apparently data shows now 97 percent of positive tests done on asymptomatic people are false positives.

Expand full comment

The data may be made public now, but the mathematical certainty that asymptomatic testing for acute viral respiratory disease would result in almost all false negatives has been known for decades, via Bayes Theorem. My simplified restatement of Bayes Theorem is that when something is likely and you test for it, then a positive result is likely true, but if something is unlikely (e.g., COVID disease in the face of no signs or symptoms and a "positive" test result based on bizarrely high PCR cycle thresholds), then a positive result is likely to be a false positive. Those of us who are familiar with these concepts were calling these test results mostly falsely positive well over a year ago. It's unconscionable that so many others, also familiar with the concepts, did not do so and even pretended that these results were true positives requiring actions such as quarantine and injection.

Expand full comment

That along with the fear mongering that you can get it twice. I did my own test my whole family had it in April except one daughter who was not home , in July she got sick (a bad cold essentially) and was positive we all 6 lived as normal with her , no isolation no quarantine not one of the 5 of us were re infected and she shares a room with her sister. So please nothing we have been fed is true.

Expand full comment

That these “test” have nothing to do with a disease was obvious for everyone with a bit of science background, even for the inventor. But after a year most of them have been silenced by social media pressures. What a crazy time. How can we get out of that loop?

Expand full comment

Doctors were once taught that in medical school. Before pharma turned every human condition into a disease.

Expand full comment

Because so many first string football players are now testing positive and disrupting the schedule and upcoming playoff season, the geniuses that run the NFL have decided that the best solution to their little epidemic crisis is that they won't test vaccinated players if they are asymptomatic.

There's one here in Dunedin NZ too. It's completely empty. But right next to the University which is currently empty of students. I hope that it comes down by mid February (when the students come back) because it's an evil looking thing.

Oh, so sorry Rich that you have such a deranged idiot for a prime minister!!! We were in Dunedin in 2019 when the mosque shooting happened and I knew she was a nut-job when she donned a hijab. I am so sorry for what you all are enduring there. You have a beautiful country and I get to enjoy seeing one place we visited when I view the Cornell Ornithology Birdcam site at the Royal Albatross colony. It was a birding trip w/a college group we tagged along with and my memories are fuzzy b/c I came down with the flu 2 days before we flew out and was in survival mode for most of the trip. BUT, I recognize the albatross colony coastal area b/c it was at the end of the trip!

The only busy time here seemed to be the reopening of schools. Then the website said that 'cases' were positive tests, so a kid testing positive 5 times in row are 5 cases. That is when I abandoned that web site. From this map it seems I am in a fairly decent place. Kids have been in school all but 4 weeks in spring last year, and then they let the school year take a little longer so they did not miss anything. No masks. Just like there is nothing. Very few maskers here. Bigger town is worse.

Expand full comment

They tried to reinstitute a mask mandate here in the fall. It didn't last. Less than half complied and those that didn't weren't hassled. Just fizzled out.

I decided last year that these NYT maps are a load of crap. Testing more than actual illness. Then I decided to only look at the map showing deaths. Then I decided those were also a load of crap, as those numbers are also overblown. Life is better not viewing these maps every morning. Fear-mongering up the wazoo, in my opinion.

Expand full comment

That sounds like a great personal policy! I know people who are glued to the daily so-called death and/or case count. The monsters behind the scenes did an incredible job of propagandizing people so thoroughly that they got addicted to the fear response and now can't stop getting that "rush". Without it, they are like an addict trying to quit using.

What's tragic is testing doesn't work, and that's what they've based the entire plandemic hoax upon. Still pushing it, and people still believe in 'testing'.

Normal people who get colds or flu just stay home and get over it (preferably with a pot of hot tea, a good book and a cat or two on the couch). Normal people don't appear on these statistics.

I see I'm in a "hot spot" - Massachusetts. Report from the ground here is lots of healthy people out and about without much mask wearing at all. The Covidians must mostly be huddled at home or trying to get into the e.r. The rest of us haven't noticed they're missing.

New York Legislation Provides for Indefinite Detention of Unvaccinated at Governor’s Whim | National Pulse

In the next legislative session beginning January 5th, 2022, the New York Senate and Assembly could vote on a bill that would grant permissions to remove and detain cases, contacts, carriers, or anyone suspected of presenting a “significant threat to public health” and remove them from public life on an indefinite basis.

The bill gives the Governor of New York, his or her delegates – including but not limited to the commissioner and heads of local health departments – the right to remove and detain any individuals or groups of people through issuing a single order. The orders only have to include the individual’s name(s) or “reasonably specific descriptions of the individuals or groups.”

It goes on to state that the bill will “require an individual who has been exposed to or infected by a contagious disease to complete an appropriate, prescribed course of treatment, preventive medication or vaccination,” essentially giving the government the right to detain anyone they want and forcibly vaccinate them.

As the language of the bill refers to individuals or groups who “potentially” pose a threat, the bill is a preemptive strike against anyone the the department believes has the capacity to “pose a threat in the future, such as those refusing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

The bill has received an overwhelmingly negative response on the NY Senate website. Commenters have stated that, “…This is un-American. It reminiscent of the Soviet Union locking up political opponents on the basis that they were ‘mentally unstable’…”

❗️Please take a minute to vote ‘Nay’ on the bill (you don’t have to live in NY to vote or comment): https://www.nysenate.gov//legislation/bills/2021/A416

I am seriously thinking about skipping Christmas services this year. Why? Not because I am afraid of the virus itself, but I do not want to go through the hassle of having to deal with work should I find out that someone in my congregation tested positive. If I were retired that would be another thing because then I wouldn't have to answer to anyone else. But I know that the minute I answer "yes" on the checkpoint questionnaire "Have you knowingly been in contact with an infected person in the last 14 days" I will have to go down to HR, get tested, get harassed about not being vaxxed and possibly have to stay home without pay. Don't want to do that. There are already enough stupid people out there who WILL NOT STAY HOME WHEN THEY ARE SICK that I really don't want to louse up my life right now. We had a case RIGHT AT WORK last week of someone coming in sick, I mean coughing, sneezing, the whole ball of string, but because they passed the temperature test they were allowed in. Well guess what they were diagnosed with several days later? It's a joke. The protocol in such cases is to inform those employees who worked closely with that person that they have been exposed so they need to be tested/quarantined, but this was not done in this case. Only the informing part. Nobody else was told to be tested or stay home.

Expand full comment

That map *appears* to give information about "cases". The trouble is that "cases" are very often conflated with positive "tests", and it's possible to test positive for months after recovery - as long as antibody count stays high. And the vaccines produce tons of antibodies, and keep doing so for months, so those people are going to have a positive "test" as well. And that's all dependent on the cycle count used - above 34 cycles, and it's over 90% false positives.

So this map doesn't tell anything about how many people are actually infectious, and can pass the disease, so it's absolutely useless for any real risk assessment - and that's the way it's been since the outset, just another pack of statistical lies, useless to assess risk, quite useful in spreading fear and herding people into taking a "vaccine" which is now proven to be unsafe and of no efficacy in stopping spread.

Expand full comment

Yes. Notice that CA with a current 16/100,000 rate averaged across 40 million people, only Imperial County keeps that number that high.
