I'm no weather expert but we are experiencing a problem with authoritarian windbags.

The only problem I have with the vaxxers is that they are driving the evolution of possibly nasty variants. See “Marek’s disease” for further information.

They are also encouraging the weakest and most impressionable people to to embrace their weakness and to submit to the authoritarians among us. I find it interesting and disturbing how many wannnabe dictators there are in my own community.

And in my experience the common, always unstated, underlying premise is that there’s no price that’s too high for YOU to pay so they can have THEIR delusion of “safety”.

I’ve heard rumors floating around that November 3rd may see some particularly bad weather. I have no first hand knowledge of this, but I’ve seen it mentioned in several different places. So bring an umbrella, or whatever.

Says RFK JR: Religious and medical exemptions are being rejected but that is a false choice anyway. Since when does anyone need an exemption to exercise their personal right to reject a foreign substance being injected into their body by the government?

I think it is the law that if the airline is not able to get you to your destination within X hours, they have to give you hotel, meals. It may have changed, it has been awhile since I checked.

Expand full comment

It depends. If it is due to weather they are not required to pay. But if is staffing, they are required to give some reasonable accommodations (generally). They are trying to pass this off as weather to al customers, but wise cats 🐈‍⬛ ask questions about the crew and where they might be. Then the payoffs begin.

Thanks! That explains the selective weather problems.

I heard that's why Southwest was clinging to the narrative that their cancellations were weather-related. They didn't want to admit it was staff walkouts & therefore be responsible for hotel bills, etc. from pissed off customers.

Right. 25,000 of these hucksters and charlatans flying into Glasgow, many of them, like Brandon's Climate Czar, on private jets, and all of whom got a special reprieve from the Covid rules, unlike we plebes who get to pay for the lavish salaries, lodging, meals and bar tabs these parasite clowns rack up.

Because, you know, we need The Science™, which to my knowledge has never made a single accurate prediction in 40 years of doomsaying, to Save the Planet™.

Assuming the world ever returns to sanity, future historians may call our time the Age of Absurdity.

"What historians will definitely wonder about in future centuries is how deeply flawed logic, obscured by shrewd and unrelenting propaganda, actually enabled a coalition of powerful special interests to convince nearly everyone in the world that CO2 from human industry was a dangerous, planet-destroying toxin. It will be remembered as the greatest mass delusion in the history of the world - that CO2, the life of plants, was considered for a time to be a deadly poison."

~ Richard Lindzen, Professor Emeritus, Earth Sciences, M.I.T.

Expand full comment

They actually won’t wonder. By the time future generations stop to look, incredulous, at the madness they will, ipso facto, have corrected the fundamental underlying colossal error that is moral and intellectual relativism and will have assimilated the eternal reality that “The truth shall set you free”.

They will have broadly rejected materialism and the venal pursuit of raw political power as supreme values and have successfully substituted therefor the pursuit of truth, beauty and goodness.

It sounds far-fetched, but so would the internet have sounded to pre-Gutenberg man.

It won’t be next year or next decade, and probably not even the next generation. But even now, quietly and slowly, good people are returning to God, the very source of Truth, Beauty and Goodness — the very God proclaimed as our Father two millennia ago by Jesus of Nazareth.

God lives in your heart and ever speaks, softly, saying “This is the way.” Listen carefully and with sincerity and a pure heart and you will hear it. And one day you will look back at the moment you actually started to listen and realize that, while you didn’t think so at the time, you had begun to hear. This is the meaning of “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.”

Here is their email to me. The writing is horrendous. What a joke!

Hello, XXXXXX

Over the last few days, we proactively canceled flights in order to account for weather in our operation and its impact to our crew members’ flight schedules.

We recognize that you may have been impacted by these adjustments. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and that we weren’t able to provide advance notice about these changes. We want to share more background and our response to ensure smooth travel this upcoming holiday season.

Weather Impact

Late last week, DFW experienced two days with wind gusts of up to 50 mph, which rendered three of five runways unusable, and reduced arrival capacity by more than half. This weather, along with limited staffing due to crew members’ regular schedules being disrupted, drove a large number of cancellations at our largest hub.

We offer the above not as an excuse, but rather in the spirit of transparency. We take seriously our commitment to serve you, and it is our responsibility to take learnings from this past weekend and improve upon our processes. You deserve nothing less, and you have our pledge that we will do just that.

Our Response

To make sure we are taking care of you and providing scheduling certainty for our crews, we adjusted our operation by proactively canceling some flights to minimize any inconvenience as much as possible. Most customers impacted by these changes are being rebooked the same day.

We expect considerable improvement beginning today with some residual impact from the weekend.

We will continue to staff up across our entire operation:

Today, nearly 1,800 flight attendants are returning from leave.

On December 1, the remainder of flight attendants on leave are coming back.

We'll have 600+ new flight attendants on staff by end of December.

We’re continuing to hire additional pilots and team members in Technical Operations, which includes our maintenance team. We anticipate 4,000 new team members will join us across the system in the fourth quarter.

We’ve hired hundreds of Reservations agents over the last several months, so more team members are in place as we head into the holiday season.

If you need any assistance with your travel plans, please reach out to Reservations at 1-800-433-7300 or with our virtual chat assistant on aa.com and on the American Airlines app.

Thank you for the opportunity to share more background on the last few days and to reassure you of our commitment to getting you where you need to go — when you need to be there.

Sincerely,

alison Taylor

Misleading headline: American Airlines are referring to the staffing problems due to the unvaxxed's high susceptibility to the new Ligmapore Variant running loose, motions in Singpore, Russia, UK Teens. The Headline should read:

American Airlines has canceled more than 1,000 flights since Friday, citing staffing problems after "high [passing] winds" [from infected staff who are asymptomatic and cannot smell their own flatulence]

Local reporters are saying that the Unvaccinated are not thought to be affected by this problem for now because their high mucosal immunity developed by exposure to the real virus from high passing winds is causing them to be unable to share space with vaccinated who are increasingly becoming unaware of scents.

The Lingmapore variant is thought to have arrived from Delta. The Unvaccinated are being gently told to get vaccinated using intramuscular injection so that they can lose their mucosal immunity and develop long lived t-cell immunity for enhancement and spread through enteric and nasal passage which the Vaccinated are currently blocking due to their autoimmune disorder.

CDC says It's highly recommended that if you are facing staffing shortages due to increased attrition of unvaccinated who are developing mucosal immunity, they should be asked to get a full vaccine regimen so that they can build tolerance to the harmless ligmapore variant. The death rates are only marginally higher in the vaccinated, but the lifelong immunity to rancid smells and high winds is desirable.
