This is a disaster. I live in a Democratic run state and since I am a licensed healthcare provider, an RN, I am mandated to take this medication. A medication I do not want or need. As an RN, working in Emergency Rooms, I have been exposed to not only Covid 19, but the seasonal flu, I worked thru the swine flu epidemic as well as the SARS epidemic. I have started IV’s on HIV positive, Hep B positive, drug addicts unconscious from OD’s etc. I have never felt that my health was in jeopardy and since continued education is mandatory to maintain your RN license, I try and stay up on the most prevalent issues concerning healthcare. I have not had a flu for over 30 years, I am not the picture of health but I don’t smoke or drink. I certainly do not need anyone telling me how to take care of myself, or my family. Yet my ability to support myself and my household hinges on being subjected to having something injected into me that is unnecessary. This is not the America, or world, that I want to be a part of.
I am so sorry. It’s truly astounding to see how healthcare providers have been treated. This will be seen as a shameful time in this country’s history.

If my exemption had not been accepted, I faced the same dilemma. I’m the primary wage earner in my family. How do you NOT feed and shelter them? Donald Trump made two mistakes in my opinion, which I can forgive him for given the lies and attacks he was under. One was too much Twitter as precious few media provided an unbiased outlet for him, or even the illusion of such, and did not provide him even the slightest chance to communicate and explain things with the American people; whether opinion or fact; but "We the People" are perfectly capable of discerning things for ourselves, we just need to hear ALL OF IT, and we don't need media to discern for us.
His second mistake was not doing something every CEO does when they come in to save a failing corporation... and that is... fire the whole top layer, period (you can re-interview and bring a few back if needed, but initially they all go). For sure that would have caused him a lot of grief to say the least, and the attacks would have been tremendous; but that is what needs to be done to save our country. That would also have sent a clear signal to all those left, that they are not immovable objects, and there are unstoppable forces that can REmove them.
I don't know if he will run again, but whoever does (Republican or Democrat), has to have the fortitude, determination, thick skin and managerial experience to totally "re-organize," and not re-imagine, but actually totally reorganize, the top levels of government. That basically disqualifies 99% of existing politicians. That person also has to be firm in the belief and indeed fact that God always supports a righteous cause... always. So they have to have a strong faith... again disqualifying 90% of politicians... maybe less, there are those in hiding. But on the plus side, having such a person in office will allow the hidden to come out of the dark cave of fear and into the light of courage. THAT IS WHAT MADE AMERICA GREAT, AND ONLY THAT WILL KEEP AMERICA GREAT. Amen
Twitter was a double edged sword. In 2016 it allowed Trump to communicate directly with people without any media filters, so everyone always knew what he was thinking. But after getting elected, he did overdo it and it was often detrimental to him.
As for firing the top layer of government, it was clearly a huge mistake to keep all of Obama's people in office, but I think no one and not Trump either understood how deep the deep state went. Coming in as he did as an outsider to Washington, it would have been difficult if not impossible to fire so many people and find decent and qualified replacements quickly, no one knows that many people (it was thousands). I wish he could have gotten rid of all Obama's people, but I do see the difficulty in trying to do that. One great thing, however, is that we now know how deeply corrupt so many unelected bureaucrats are and we have seen what they do. And we now know how criminal the DOJ, FBI and CIA actually are. It's very depressing, actually.

They're calling it an Emergency Temporary Standard it seems in a way to circumvent the typical law making process and so basically impose a mandate. The problem is that the government treats agency rules from OSHA and CMS as laws so at least in healthcare where they're saying if you don't comply then your facility will stop receiving medicare/medicaid reimbursement which would drive some facilities to shutter their doors. I held my nose and voted for Trump and I am glad I did. He did what he said he'd do. Now that isn't something one finds in a politician usually! He is certainly abrasive but he got things done. Donald Trump made two mistakes in my opinion, which I can forgive him for given the lies and attacks he was under. One was too much Twitter as precious few media provided an unbiased outlet for him, or even the illusion of such, and did not provide him even the slightest chance to communicate and explain things with the American people; whether opinion or fact; but "We the People" are perfectly capable of discerning things for ourselves, we just need to hear ALL OF IT, and we don't need media to discern for us.
His second mistake was not doing something every CEO does when they come in to save a failing corporation... and that is... fire the whole top layer, period (you can re-interview and bring a few back if needed, but initially they all go). For sure that would have caused him a lot of grief to say the least, and the attacks would have been tremendous; but that is what needs to be done to save our country. That would also have sent a clear signal to all those left, that they are not immovable objects, and there are unstoppable forces that can REmove them.
I don't know if he will run again, but whoever does (Republican or Democrat), has to have the fortitude, determination, thick skin and managerial experience to totally "re-organize," and not re-imagine, but actually totally reorganize, the top levels of government. That basically disqualifies 99% of existing politicians. That person also has to be firm in the belief and indeed fact that God always supports a righteous cause... always. So they have to have a strong faith... again disqualifying 90% of politicians... maybe less, there are those in hiding. But on the plus side, having such a person in office will allow the hidden to come out of the dark cave of fear and into the light of courage. THAT IS WHAT MADE AMERICA GREAT, AND ONLY THAT WILL KEEP AMERICA GREAT. Amen

Twitter was a double edged sword. In 2016 it allowed Trump to communicate directly with people without any media filters, so everyone always knew what he was thinking. But after getting elected, he did overdo it and it was often detrimental to him.
As for firing the top layer of government, it was clearly a huge mistake to keep all of Obama's people in office, but I think no one and not Trump either understood how deep the deep state went. Coming in as he did as an outsider to Washington, it would have been difficult if not impossible to fire so many people and find decent and qualified replacements quickly, no one knows that many people (it was thousands). I wish he could have gotten rid of all Obama's people, but I do see the difficulty in trying to do that. One great thing, however, is that we now know how deeply corrupt so many unelected bureaucrats are and we have seen what they do. And we now know how criminal the DOJ, FBI and CIA actually are. It's very depressing, actually.

What is shocking to me is how many people didn't question how he basically did not campaign and stayed hidden most of the time. And they still voted for him, not knowing a thing about what he wanted to do. They only knew that he wasn't Trump.

The problem is that the government treats agency rules from OSHA and CMS as laws so at least in healthcare where they're saying if you don't comply then your facility will stop receiving medicare/medicaid reimbursement which would drive some facilities to shutter their doors. Must be quite a pandemic when we can force the loss of care providers and facilities in midst of it it seems

If the company didn't take a positive role in this, they could have avoided any legal action. BUT, from a layman's point of view, thecompanies took a specific action and therefore absorbed the Mandate responsibilities and effects. It would seem to me that the company is squarely in the gunsights. In this case, the plaintiff has the right to sue the company. THEN if the company feels like it has been damaged by the Federal Mandate, THEY can sue the Government. The plaintiff is NOT obligated to take on the role of advocate for the company. Bring it on!
The ILLinois Governor just changed the law so businesses are not liable in certain ways when they try to enforce this mandate.
