It's a deathcult ritual practice I still see on people outside walking alone in NYC. Also driving alone. I would expect better where you are at but people have been scared into to strange stuff the past few years.

FWIW, when I went for my yearly physical this past February and had "the talk" with my physician about COVID, I was surprised (and frankly a little shocked) at how sensible he was. We reviewed my history -- I did have two doses of Moderna in April/May 2021 [edited]. (Yes, yes, I know -- but it was very early days, I wasn't yet suspicious enough about how we were being steamrollered, and I work in an environment where I do come into contact with many elderly people. Mea culpa. Never again.) But when I then answered that I had not gotten any boosters he said "Good. Don't. There's no evidence they are at all effective, and there's not enough information about adverse effects." THAT floored me, honestly. He then admitted that if I hadn't already had COVID, I would most certainly get it sometime. He advised if I ever had symptoms to do a home test and if it came back positive to call his office and they would phone in a paxlovid scrip for me, no need to come into the office, they would just handle it all over the phone. So he was treating the paxlovid pretty casually (I *am* over 60, so I guess maybe marginally in a high-risk group?) but certainly wasn't suggesting that anyone without symptoms should be taking it.
I’m not sure yet. It was just signed last week I think. I haven’t had a chance to check yet. I wonder if compound pharmacies can dispense it. A lot of them were actually filling prescriptions. I guess the best thing is to call a pharmacy and see how to go about it.

After my 91-year-old father who was vaccinated died in our hospital, I went and spoke with our CEO of the hospital because they were putting out all the propaganda that it’s only the unvaccinated in the hospital. He proceeded to tell me that much younger people were starting to be admitted. I said “well who is dying?” Because I had the suspicion that they were just admitting younger people that were Covid positive and unvaccinated to drive those numbers up. He told me he didn’t know. So the CEO of our hospital doesn’t know the ages of the people dying of Covid in his hospital. The lies just continue to go on!

When vaxxed friends run into me these days they tend to peer anxiously into my eyes - "How are you? Really, how are you doing?" I wonder, is it just my imagination or do they seem a little disconcerted if not actually deflated when I give them a big smile back and say, "Never better!"
