If this is true, then maybe there is a biological reason for this. Preferring one's own race doesn't necessarily mean disliking another. This reminds me of trying to force left-handers to use their right at a very early age.

one of the enormous biological imperatives for a hominid is recognizing its own parents. you need to know who the caregiver/protector is and bond with them. the idea that this is somehow racist is absurd. knowing who mom and dad are (and looking like dad when you are young so he accepts you as his) is straight down the middle of the evolutionary fairway.

literally no one would argue about this in chimps. so, what, humans are magic? we do not face the and have not faced the same evolutionary pressure?

I think 6 month olds need to be taught more about hygiene. With all 3 of my children, it was not unusual at that age to play with their own feces or vomit. We are surely failing them.
