When there's no longer an excuse for not being vaccinated ("not open to my age group yet"), things are going to get interesting. I plan to try "I've had the virus", but I don't think that'll fly. This is going to turn our political divide into something new. Those who are "clean" and those who are "unclean". This is bizarre to witness. We're somehow morphing into a secular non-theistic theocracy (is there a name for this to avoid insulting healthy religion?), with zealots ready to drop the hammer on non-believers (those who refuse the sacred injection). This is the world of our own creation.

I'm going to say that I didn't get vaccinated because people in India (or whatever other country they decide to fearmonger us about next) need my vaccine more than I do and it would be selfish to take it. Might as well use their own little virtue signalling against them.

That's a good one. I may have to use it. I've been leaning towards saying "partially" if people rudely ask such a personal question. ;) "Partially" insinuates that you've gotten the first dose (exposed to the virus actually), which means you given in, but not quite at full purity. Forgivable to the zealot. (Actually I'm thinking about just telling the truth, acting nice and considerate ("owe I understand. I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable") Then taking advantage of not having to socialize with them.

Would not hold out hope. Tried it because I did and got the expected response from 3 out of 5 people I’ve told. But you could get it again(you’re dumb) and spread it (you’re selfish) and of course the variants...

I might try insisting it's personal and not answer, but they will read that as a "no" answer. I think we should all agree that having covid qualifies as a "vaccination", therefore the answer is yes. Trying to avoid a rift with family members. Others I don't care.

Best response I’ve seen is “this is a topic many people feel strongly about, so I don’t think we should discuss it”

I can already hear the panic purveyors screaming: "But... but... this study isn't yet peer reviewed, we must inject everyone before they complete the peer review, just in case"

There is NO reason to jab after you had C19, other than paranoia and not assimilating even the most basic of numbers and stats listed above. You COULD get your blood tested to see where your immunity levels are at, at least a Dr would look at them and tell you it could be useful. HOWEVER, You shouldn't be using the local newscaster nor Bided) as your medical go to.... If you haven't noticed, they are LIARS and extremely untrustworthy.

Am I conflicted if I fully agree with you and go long on $PFE at the same time?

As a Federal govvie contractor, I have this conflict daily. My rationalization has been that they are serving cake, and I'm paying for it, so I may as well have a slice.

The other way of thinking about it is it is just good portfolio diversification. They tax us for being productive and getting jobs, why can't we 'tax' them back for pushing stupid policy that will rent seek?
