I find that Kamala's word salad goes best with a side of Brandon's brain soufflé.

I guess that’s what you get with an Indian-Jamaican fusion dish.

If I say this to any of my college buddies, I will likely have to turn in my Black Card. Luckily, this is a safe space, so... Kamala was "picked" because she checked off a couple boxes, Black, woman. That she was almost completely unqualified was barely noticed. That she rode the backs of a ton of Black men she put into prison in California, when she wasn't actually on her back, remains oddly obscure to far too many.

You don’t have any Cuban sandwiches?

The waiter says “No, we don't have any salad". But, the restaurant that doesn’t have any Cuban Sandwiches is across the street.”

We do have unlimited Kool-Aid on tap!

About Cuba, this past weekend alone about 200 Cubans landed throughout the Florida Keys. About 200 others were interdicted at sea. Not quite the SW border, but numbers are up and rising. I think they might be hungry. https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/187-cuban-migrants-made-landfall-in-florida-keys-over-2-day-stretch/2835793/

I went to Cuba in the 1990s. Everyone appeared well-fed and in good physical health. There were no visible food shops such as supermarkets (but people walked out of back streets with unmarked plastic bags of what I presume were food and groceries). People were living in rooms of buildings that had undergone no renovation since 1959 (and no longer had glass windows). Most cars still dated from the same period, and had been kept going. Public transport looked to be problematic (very large truck-buses were being used, but did not seem able to cope with peak demand). Plenty of tourists (especially from Canada). I don't know what it's like now.

The queen of word salad is on our island (Kauai). Yesterday her multi SUV cavalcade disrupted traffic and was a pain in the rump. What a monumental waste of our money...I wonder if the cost of her vacation is being paid for out of "inflation reduction" funds??
