Robb—you helped me in 2012 with Paleo. I still use recipes from your book. You and sisson changed my life. BTW I listen to your podcast Healthy Rebellion Radio. Will check out your substack.

I just love the things I learn on Bad Cattitude! Thank you, Janet, for mentioning, Robb Wolf, as I just became a subscriber on his podcast, Healthy Rebellion!!

Thanks to Robb and Mark Sisson I am one super healthy and fit almost 74 yo unjabbed gal.

It wasn’t easy. A sister won’t talk to me. I still have all my friends tho. Some know some don’t. My hubby quit pressuring me and since he got the JNJ he will not booster. I work too hard to be healthy. Not going to screw up the rest of my time here with the danger and sleepless nights if I get them. I will never comply. Have a great day! Stay strong 💪🏻

That was precisely the image that came to my mind, before I read your comment. Andre Breton would simply love this, so would Jean Cocteau. And Gertrude Stein. But where are the great ironic writers and artists - the whole camp of Surrealists and Expressionists? Where is Dali, and Elmer Rice? Where is there an Ionesco reveling in this absurdity? Where, for that matter, is Peter Sellers or Bob Dylan? Is anyone chronicling this madness and turning it into art? Or has art been buried under the slimy, festering bed of woke...Fascism crushes the human spirit, but not forever, and not for long. There has been a shift, can you feel it? I do.

Basically the guy interviewed said that the screaming Karens/ gay Kyles on Twitter are the ONLY people that get the attention of the policy makers in DC. I remember when I was a kid, maybe around 10-12, my dad was talking about the evils of sensitivity training. It’s just brainwashing that suppresses common sense and causes massive feelings of undeserved guilt. Let’s all strive to not be sensitive. Truth may hurt. Expand full comment

You got that wrong. Ridicule is like 20th. Honesty is enemy #1. I mean how do you profess to be "liberal" while saying the prospect of an open discussion platform is the end of the free world? You've got to have some serious ability to lie to yourself!

I'm seeing most of the die hard liberals of the 60s and 70s are the most eager to cancel rights. It's insane. Proves they always just wanted to be cool, not giving.

You don't even have to go back to the 60s. Just go back a few weeks! Musk and Tesla have been icons of "the cool kids" since Musk founded the company to make EVs. A hero of the very same people now declaring him evil, racist and equating him with Hitler.

Still, the "hippies" of the 60s were the first to start yelling at people not wearing masks for the past two plus years. I'm furious at them

Well not all of us :-). I'm one of those 60s and 70s "liberals". I see The Party of today having become almost the inverse of what it stood fro in the 60s and 70s. The really nuts part is that most of the faithful followers do not see what they're doing. It is as if they can't hear what they're saying.

I think that we should all refer to the new DHS department as The Ministry of Truth, with a shot from "1984" that is ominous looking and soul crushing. And it should be used so often that it becomes obvious that that is it's mission, and so that people will tune it out.

It will be OUR propaganda war to defang the government's efforts to intimidate us into rejecting truth.

You've nailed it, Boots. A good 75% or more of what we are seeing in the news is just that, a distraction. Ukraine, the charges of racism, white supremacy, etc., are all designed to keep us looking at this hand not at that one. While they loot the country entire.

Absolutely. Just a scant few weeks ago, Elon was the hero of all that is mainstream correctness. He's been right in there with the high tech billionaires helping support The Party financially, and Tesla is the epitome of "correct": Built by an "outsider" to the auto industry with a goal of ONLY making EVs, the politically correct flocked to him as if he were the new messiah. So what happened? He said he liked Trump? Not even. He said Trump has as much right to speak as anyone. Heresy! Now he is an apartheid raised racist evil doer trying to kill babies, kick puppies and destroy the free world. The hypocrisy is so deep. The rage so unreal. Yet so effin entertaining!

And if we're paying attention we see the true colors of the media elites when it comes to "free speech". Truth is they loath the notion and have for decades if not longer: they see themselves as a privileged, entitled group and resent anyone who thinks of "free speech" as for everyone. Only now instead of veiled disdain it is all out in the open: free speech, unfettered by "responsible journalism" is unsafe and INTOLERABLE!

You've got Jews saying that uncontrolled free speech will lead to another Hitler. Wrong. Intellectually dishonest. "liberals" endorsing a government agency not only dedicated to censorship but actually chartered to provide "the truth" and empowered to criminalize that which they deem to be incorrect or dangerous (translation: that which must be suppressed). THAT kids is what Hitler did. Hitler used the power of hate: he created a demon, and justified everything upon containing the danger created by the demons. Only hate is powerful enough to drive people who really do, inside, know right from wrong, to do such wrong things. Trump and anyone who does not denounce him as evil are EXACTLY what the Jews were for Hitler. The evil that must be eradicated at any cost. Even if it means giving up everything.

Musk is certainly putting a lot on the line for this. I suppose the common thread is his desire to ensure a future for humanity. Giving us the potential of being a multi-planet species wasn’t enough.

I just hurt myself laughing so fn hard! The "When you realize that Tesla you bought..." is just the best I've seen so far! The irony! Brilliant!

Ah I remember the 'good old days' which was maybe, oh I dunno, March? When Elon was the hero of climate warriors and the Tesla was the ultimate symbol of whatever the f that crowd calls themselves today - woke, hip, intellectual, whatever. Really it was a dozen weeks or so back, no? What crime did Elon commit? He said Trump should be allowed to speak too. AGAD NO! Now ANYONE can say ANYTHING? How will we survive!

Well, like the first meme, I don't really think that's gonna happen. Crystal ball time: Twitter might see some updates, maybe stem the downward spiral and become more profitable. It won't become the wild west of death and destruction or the last safe place for free speech. Probably less filtering for a while then different filtering. But not that different. He probably likes the anti-Musk memes - because they are so lame and stupid and absurd it's like watching a puppy chase it's own tail - and finally catching it.

Fair point and I do imagine some of the long-time "thought leaders" are laughing every day. Possibly with a touch of astonishment at just how far, how absurd, the joke has gone.

But...when I ridicule someone's irrational and illogical conclusions I generally do not prevent them from making a living, demand they stay indoors, force them to take medications against their will, destroy a fundamentally sound economy to win an election, prevent people from being with family and loved ones, promote fear and depression through isolation, incarcerate others for daring to disagree, or otherwise suppress those who ridicule me. There is a difference between ridicule based upon observation and logic and using the power of force (aka government) to do so.

The true damage of 2020-22 is yet to be fully realized. Personally I know people (including myself) who were denied the chance to be with people for whom we cared deeply in their last days, forcing them to slip away alone and afraid. I may never recover from that and if it happened to you, likely nor will you.

Wow. Simply WOW. Just a few decades ago 'enlightened' western nations criticized the governments of China and the USSR for doing exactly this. What is next? Clearly jailing those who spread what is deemed misinformation. How about when people assemble in mass to spread such disagreeable misinformation? Well of course this must be prevented at all costs: once it starts it gets out of control. And control is everything in "free" society, right? Tienanmen square, Ohio State, Wounded Knee - these were once seen as tragedies but by the standard this morning all justified suppression of misinformation.

Simply WOW!
