Some people are not thinking clearly and are not able to distill nuances of the written posts and only hear what they want to hear based upon their own fears or fantasies. Others are folks who actually just "get off" on argumentative interactions because that raises cortisol levels in the brain along with another whole cascade of brain chemicals. These people are addicted to their own brain chemicals and need their fix. Or they are deliberately looking to cause consternation among posters because they get a buzz from that too. You may be pounding sand on this one. Sometimes its best to let these folks just think what they want to think... and let it go.
It is also possible that there are "plants" paid by corrupt elements, with a goal of ratcheting up the crazy-factor in order to discredit the truth. Ignoring them is more productive. Maybe calling them out and suggesting they tell their supervisors they've been noticed(?) ...a thought.
