The WEF states as fact that government needs to play a much larger role in society... along with corporations of course. Total corruption is their model for a functioning society. The rest of us must simply ‘ trust’ that it is all for our own good.

Only to green army members . I strongly endorse it. Cooked on my gas grill .

Expand full comment

It's not really like they want control at this point in time. They just want to pluck away things you worked hard to get established into your daily routine until you are denuded and powerless. One by one. Relentlessly. Then the control part will really kick in.

It's also bad policy, but what else is new.

The good news is that my coal stove for heat also allows me to cook upon it. Win/win for the planet destroying team!

Expand full comment

But how are you going to get the coal .? They plan to stop supplying/ outlaw the sale of fossil fuels . It' s going to happen quicker than we think possible .

Expand full comment

I fully agree with that!

I suspect they'll try pricing it out of reach first. Without giving too much away, there are numerous holes in the ground close by that are literally filled with it. Far more supply than demand, especially if they succeed in keeping it from being used in power plants.

Extralegal methods may be required, and it'd be dirty work. But better than starving or freezing. The added bonus is the same stove can burn wood. And no shortage of that on/near my property either.

Wonderful , my grandparents place in Ky had wood and coal stove plus the best clear spring cold well water . Pump it into a bucket and bring it inside. I long for those times, great memories. Grandma died 1973 , age 93 . Wish that home still existed. Someone mined her land for coal .

Think back over the last, say, 20 years. Did you protest against the Iraq war? How about protesting at Occupy Wall Street? Were you a member of the Tea Party? A member of #TheResistance? Did you disagree with the government’s covid response? It’s nearly certain that everybody with a political pulse has crossed the government at one time or another. How comfortable are you with the idea that the person you’re protesting against can shut off your bank account?

Because now, it seems, those perfectly legal actions at least have the potential to come with harsh monetary consequences, as well as the ensuing chaos caused by financial ruin. And this is happening all without a single shred of oversight or due process. It’s just some asshole in an expensive suit giving a list of ‘subversives’ to another asshole in an expensive suit. The no-fly list but with the very real potential to ruin your life.

Two words: Satan IS REAL.

Expand full comment

If so, he should oppose this.

Reason: scarcity and hardships selects for rigorous morals and a hard ethical code (like Hammurabi's or Leviticus). Abundance and creature comforts makes for hubris, gluttony, lust and the rest of the mortal sins, even the ones edited out down the centuries.

Hence, Satan as per modern christian liturgy and escatology would be the one opposing all this. Suffering on Earth creates virtuous humans, true in their faith because they have passed through the crucible of adversity.

But enabling people to trip themselves up via hubris, ah now that sets them on the path to suffering in Hell.

Expand full comment

Satan can be real, and this still happen. Satan's minions are not very smart. They embody man's inhumanity to man. They are irrational and easily become drunk on power.

This is one of the ways God wins and Satan loses, without God even having to lift a figurative finger.

Expand full comment

When I first heard this I thought if I am dependent on electricity you cut off my power if I object to anything. How stupid do they think we are?

Expand full comment

They can also control travel and movement if they force everyone into electric cars. Our really stupid California governor Newsom recently backed outlawing the selling of gas cars by 2030. So theoretically if you buy a car in 2030, only electric cars will be available to buy. (Not sure what he thinks will happen to the millions of gas cars and trucks on the road right now). But not long after he made this declaration, we had an electric energy crunch and he told people they couldn't charge their electric cars for awhile. I can say with 100% certainty our California electric grid got into sorry shape after they supplemented it with wind and solar energy, both of which are unreliable, and is totally unable to handle a state full of electric cars that need to be constantly charged. Are these people so undeniably low intelligence that they can't figure this out? It will never happen.

Expand full comment

"wait until we’re back to cooking over open wood fires" What makes you think we will have anything to cook? At the rate we're going ...

Expand full comment

Well yes, for now....rocky road ahead. They’ll need to first reduce the consumer demand on the grid....elimination of the demand (I often wonder when and what form the next crisis will take--I expect it will not happen until they are ready to close the deal) so they’ll have what they need for technology.

Here in Paradise, "wood burning appliances" have long since been declared illegal in many urban jurisdictions. The manufacture, and installation, of those evil devices is being severely constrained throughout the country. Regulatory compliance has become one of the most significant cost components of wood stoves.

In the rural area in which I am fortunate enough to reside, MOST people heat with wood during our minus thirty to forty degree winters. The wood - our fuel, - we cut within a very short distance of our homes. At the cost of a few litres of fuel, and a few hours of our time every fall. In spite of several universally ignored government initiatives over the last few decades to make "firewood harvesting" illegal.

The next step is probably bans on chainsaws and pickup trucks!

They tried that here a couple of years ago.

Then someone from the police as well as from industry and inside the Socialist party pointed out the cost of enforcing that.

They haven't given up though, they're trying to sneak it through the EU instead.

Further north, some local greens were told "between the wall and the bowl" (pre-christian idiom, doesn't translate well, means "in strictest privacy, yet still in public") that they should refrain from picking mushrooms and berries during the Fall.
