Then we go to the gym this morning and the staff are masked, which they haven’t been for months. I asked what’s with the masks. They looked very sad.

While no one here stooped that low, my kids lost interest after going to a number of houses with lots of decorations but just a bowl of candy outside. Saying hi to the neighbors and yelling trick or treat used to be a thing. We didn't even really see teenagers out "tricking". But, this is metro New York, where lockdowns "worked".

Wednesday 2-6pm Washington Square Park had their under 5yo Halloween event and over 800 families came and participated in the pumpkin painting. Numbers are based on my observation but I was there to photograph and saw hundreds of faces live and editing the pics.. far less than 10% of kids has medical masks and they were with masked parents.
