My understanding is that TB kills between 1.5 to 1.8 million every year. But hey, who needs context when you can have fearmongering and panic?

To be fair, both Pharma and Shaman Fauci already extracted all the loot they could from TB. QED

We must be aware that Saint Fauci's extraction of loot is to allow him to exercise extraordinary power over all of medical science worldwide. It's a power trip, rather than venality. It started when he was annointed son of god, after his admittedly successful management of the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Yes, Mr. Maskless Newtonite got latent TB himself (we're originally from a part of the world where TB is always a concern for healthcare workers, mind you). But I'll say that, depending on your sense of humor, you might find it entertaining to pee orange for 4-5 months. Rifampin will do that. It's a serious disease, regardless. I'm glad kids here in America are vaccinated against atypical forms of TB. Oh, wait. Never mind. But don't worry, the risk for kids here in America is very low (Mr. Maskless Newtonite saw just a handful of cases at his practice here). Just make sure you don't hire a foreign-born nanny and, most importantly, remember to live with constant feelings of terror, since deadly germs are all around us and danger lurks around every corner.

TB or not TB, or "To be or not to be" honest, a word that has been removed from the media's dictionary or changed, as have some other common, formerly inoffensive, words or phrases.

Since they have recently discovered that the overwhelming majority of Covid spread is due to airborne aerosols, and that the rain dancing of masks, hand washing and 6ft distancing has had negligible effect, there is a chorus of "but we knew this all along with TB". Duh, then why didn't the 20-20 vision armchair experts speak up sooner?

I thought TB was rare in the US?

I would guess this also does not include the TB cases that are misclassified as AIDS.

Expand full comment

This has always puzzled me, since many AIDS patients die of TB. How do they categorise these deaths?

Expand full comment

Depends upon where this occurs, regionally, just as with deaths attributed to COVID-19 vs. comorbidities, as they will generally have guiding criteria for determining cause of death. If the political/money pressure is for the all-encompassing "spectre" of AIDS or COVID, that's how it will be classified.

It is, this is most likely a global number.

Always hard for a yank to think globally.

I'm guessing you are referring to Americans in general. In the USA, "Yankee" would be the Progressives that emanated out of the Puritan settlements of New England and spread across the country to spread their utopian vision of how everyone should live.

This may surprise you, but outside the USA, yank just means American. That's my point, you yanks have no clue of anything outside your country.

Not surprised as I've spent a good deal of time outside this country and well aware of this, as well as the misappropriation of the term towards all Americans by non-Americans who have no clue as to its origins.
