Unless my cynicism has clouded my judgment 🙂 the PCR test is about as accurate at diagnosis as throwing a person into water to see if she floats or sinks is, for determining if she's a witch. Every normal person has dozens, perhaps hundreds of viruses and other pathogens in his body at any given time. Given the proper test (PCR) any of these could be amplified up to a point where presence of a pathogen could be claimed. But how accurate is that? Until I hear differently, I assume that the vast majority of the so-called "positive" tests for COVID-19 are perhaps at best detecting a trace of a virus. Where are the clinical definitions of illness? Is there even any proof that such "posiitve" people are prone to spread the virus?

Yes. I say let NYC and LA burn. Let emergency calls go unanswered. Let hospitals and other essential services try and operate under-staffed. I'm not wishing evil on the innocent, but it is necessary (indeed, inevitable) that stupid decisions have stupid consequences. I'm not so optimistic that upheaval will cause idiotic governments to relent their ill-thought-out policies, but at the least it will make the failures more apparent.

On an investing web site, in comments to a "flights delayed" article, I pointed out that it was not likely due to two weeks of adverse weather or "staffing shortages." I said "vaccine mandates." I speculate that's also a factor in logjam at California ports and other supply chain disruption.

So, she tested positive. Who cares??? Why the h*&@ is she being tested in the first place? Did she have symptoms that might be referred to the virus? If not, nobody should be testing her.

Don't get me wrong - I love it if these people are testing positive if they were vaccinated, BUT the test's sensitivity and specificity are in question and undefined based on my research. (Based on that same research, I am estimating MANY false positives, meaning someone tested positive, but they did NOT have the virus.) Also, I doubt very much that any of these "ELITES" have actually taken any agent labeled as a vaccine against COVID. Why would they? Prove me wrong.

I don't have the reach or power to get people to stop calling them vaccines, because it's obvious by the original (pre-Covid 'vaccine') definition the covid vaccines are anything but. I mostly call them unreliable prophylactics, as they usually do make an infection less virulent, but they don't do the one thing a true vaccine will do: actually provide immunity. Those that need boosters don't need them every few months, most vaccines are a once-and-done or a defined series, and in the incredibly rare event one fails people actually take note. The covid "vaccines" fail all of these tests.

I was vaccinated last January by my own choice, haven't had any adverse reactions/events, but won't be getting any boosters unless I decide it's worth it to me. No religious or medical objection, just don't want to be a lab animal in an experiment I no longer trust.

So I love this thread but I shared it with some friends and they immediately went ad hominum and wanted to know why they should trust a kitten with a proclivity for explosions lol. I kinda just said the data is solid and tried to re-engage around the argument but I was wondering if we know anything about gatos background? Not trying to doxx he/she but it does seem like gato has some experience with virology and data science but then again kittens can't go to university and so would always be considered uneducated. Any insight into this would be helpful as it got frustrating especially when they took a low blow at gato for grammar and casual style but it seems like there's a chance gatomalo is potentially a native Spanish speaker and that English isn't their first language (which only impresses me more and would explain the grammar).

I’ve had quite a few people also pick on el gato’s lack of caps or anonymity, and my reply is always the same: Truth is truth regardless the source, or whether the person expressing it uses correct syntax.
