Cut any pay tv service you have, get rid of all big tech platforms you utilize (especially “free” ones), divest companies that don’t align with your values, minimize your tax obligations to the degree that you can, and don’t comply with unjust laws. Choke off these failing institutions financially. It’s our best way forward IMO: https://faybomb.substack.com/p/you-have-the-power-governance

I cut off my TV service over 5+ years ago and even stopped watching my local news (brought in by the in house antenna) at the beginning of Covid. I worked for myself years so I have little in terms of official retirement funds like an IRA or ROTH retirement fund. I try to stay low on the food chain of any MSM media consumption and when I do see MSNBC on a TV so where I want to vomit. I just find people I like and follow them.

Good point. I must rely on some (near-) monopoly services like my local residential internet provider. I do make it a point to toss out advertising from them suggesting I upgrade to a cable package. I too am quite strict on reading MSM. I'd rather (and do in many cases) support independent writers like Berenson.

I watch a little MSM every day and consider that as keeping up on the enemy. A little is all I can take.

Of course we are beholden to our local ‘cable’ providers to have internet access, but not watch all the Cable TV crap. The only news I ‘watch’ these days is the live stream of The Warroom each morning. That provides me with the ‘news’ of what crap is coming down inside the Beltway, down on The US Mexican border (where I live) and over in Europe, as well as ‘public health’ issues. That pretty much covers all the bases I care to know about…then of course all the Substack ‘writers/journalists’ I follow are fabulous. Also I learn so much everyday from all the insightful, and great ‘Comments’ from y’all!

Agreed. Have done almost all of this myself. No money in corporate stocks either. None in retirement.

With a big enough brokerage account, you can literally bet against the Evil empire using Put options or the riskier short selling. This is probably a losing gamble, since the stocks you would be likely to bet against are the very ones that are heavily involved with the existing power structures. On second thought, just canned food, guns, and bury a coffee can of gold coins in your backyard.

Abso-frigging-lutely right, every dollar is a vote and every Google search and Amazon purchase feeds the oligarchs.

Move your money. Take your banking away from the FED cabal and join a credit union. Shop small and local as much as possible so Bain Capital & Carlyle Group aren't running on Dunkin all the way to the bank peddling the highest density of Monsanto gmo corn and soy per bite of any food retailer. Grabbing a coffee from a diner or cafe is feeding a family not Wall Street.
