But were the crickets vaccinated? Don't want to be an anti-vaxxer..........

Expand full comment

I heard it's in the chem trails now. I guess we're all vaccinated.

Expand full comment

So much easier to simply route around that pesky informed consent!

The chemtrails are humans feeding ze bugs!

Solient Chemtrails?

Expand full comment

Ha!

That sounds like what ends up in your underwear after you eat ze bugs!...:)

Showed this to my bride. Women her age shouldn't giggle hysterically.

Expand full comment

Yes, they should! A good hysterical giggle will do a body good!

Expand full comment

maybe the burger could contain essential vaccines and other helpful additives?

Expand full comment

Not all of them. The ones that weren't got the new WHO/CDC/CMS ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases--really? vax status is a "disease"?) Z28.310 and 311 designations.

https://www.aafp.org/pubs/fpm/blogs/gettingpaid/entry/covid_immunization_codes.html

Expand full comment

Did you ever think otherwise?

Expand full comment

No but seeing a non-disease classified as a ICD-10 disease in writing is still jarring. And no one will challenge it (which doesn't surprise me anymore either).

Expand full comment

But so far as they can tell it isn't related to the vaccine

Expand full comment

Last GP visit, she asked about cvd shot and wrote no or something on one sheet of paper then ask about flu shot and wrote no or something on another sheet of paper. Creepy. Z28.310

I went here https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/ and searched cricket. Vax status unknown. Feeling entomophagic have a CHIRPIES

No; genetically engineered to produce more... meat :P?

Yeah, I think it's time to give up all processed foods...and doctors...and public education...and tv...

Who is still eating processed foods??????????

This health nut learned 25 years ago that current dogma around nutrition is a)outdated and b)controlled by big ag and big food.

Okay, only fresh veggies and meat, but what did they spray on the veggies and what did they feed the cows?

Organic and grass fed

If you bought it in a store, its contaminated. If you saw it on TV, its a lie. If it was developed by the modern pharma-medical complex, it has little or nothing to do with health - (more to do with profit); and is probably harmful.

And "public education" has long since ceased to "educate". Our indoctrination centres, from kindergarten through post-grad, have pretty much discontinued all of the old useful programs. Not only have literacy and numeracy been dropped from graduation requirements, so have civics, history, and economics. Useful programs, like "Home Economics" (meal planning & prep, sewing, and child care) and "Shop" (tool use, woodworking, metal work, and appliance repair) have been gone for decades. Sadly, from our homes, as well as our schools.

There's room in my cave John. Bring your own sleeping furs and club.

I was thinking the other day how much I learned in home ec, no kidding. It was practical useful info. No wonder it’s gone.

Expand full comment

I also remember home ec. It was fun. I'm not surprised they got rid of it; it empowered one to be more independent and knowledgeable... and we can't have that!

I didn't mind cooking so much, but hated sewing. I already knew how to sew, so was harassed by the teacher, while teaching me NOTHING. It really pissed her off to have to give me an A for the skirt I made. (My mother and grandmother both worked as professional seamstresses.) 🤣🤣🤣

Expand full comment

They wouldn't let me take Home Ec. As I remember, in the 1950's, sewing was for girls only. So my grandmother taught me to sew so I could make my own tent. (On Mum's old treadle sewing machine). Used the tent on my trapline for three winters.

Expand full comment

That is so awesome! I'm so glad you wanted to learn to sew and I bet you saved yourself some money by making that tent!

I have my Grandma's treadle machine. I loved sewing on it when I was really little. A machine that was fun! 🤗

I was taught to knit by my mother. Haven't tried it in a long, long time, but I distinctly remember knitting a number of very long scarves, since my instruction hadn't reached the 'turning a corner' stage.

By contrast, my wife taught me to touch type, which came in very handy, once PCs appeared in engineering offices.

Expand full comment

my home ed teacher wouldn't believe that I had made the sewing machine cover that I made. Accused me of cheating.

What she didn't realise is that my mother was a proper mother and stood over me and made sure that I made something she would be proud of having sewn before she allowed me to present it, as that was one area of my education where she was able to contribute greatly, as she was an expert sewer

Never took those classes but grew up on a farm & was in 4-H where we learned those things

I hated home ick with a passion. My best friend and I were protesting because her yo-yo was confiscated but mine was not. We were doing yo-yo tricks in class and the teacher couldn't see me. I was 13 so you can imagine how stupid such a thing was. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to piss the teacher off. My parents had no idea I was torturing the poor woman. I'm still a little envious of those who escaped home ick.

Expand full comment

Why the obsession with trying to force people to eat bugs? It feels like some sort of weird fetish.

Expand full comment

Kinda like forcing everyone to wear a useless mask?

Expand full comment

Yes, that’s exactly what it is: blatant mockery.

Expand full comment

It's fun to push it as far as you can.

And we're not even there yet.

Expand full comment

mockery in increments is the same as trial balloons for how much they can mock you with subsequent issues/situations.

Expand full comment

Sadly true. I think that’s how they are going to kill the rest of us; exhaustion

I’m so close already! My husband is on a mid life longevity quest, (which more power to him) but I’m like why would I want to stay here any longer than I have to? 😂

Gosh, I know. I just can’t give up yet. Sometimes I wonder what’s the point? I gave animals so I feel responsible for them.

Expand full comment

Yup kids and pets keep us going!

I'm not ready to give up just yet, but I am getting tired and not looking to extend my time here...

Expand full comment

I'm all about quality of life, not quantity. I'm not concerned about when I'm done here on earth, but moreso about going out quickly without decades of degeneration.

Expand full comment

yes this is a common aim i feel, which is why it is a good idea to yoke up with hubby and his health quest, but we have fundamentally different reasoning. which is perfectly fine!

Expand full comment

Does it mean that I’m the pervert if I admit there’s something that feels dirty, like a bdsm/kink about the forced masking and the eating bugs and the unwanted jabs forced on the naive? It’s just all so dark and coercive.

Expand full comment

Part of a general obsession with telling everyone what to do. Simon Says: Wear masks, take shots, stay home, eat bugs, suck a bag of d--ks, let your daughter get her breasts amputated, etc. They get off on seeing how far they can push the herd, and it's pretty damned far. I'm hoping they went too far now that so many folks are realizing how dangerous the vaccine is.

I know it’s a bit crazy. Crazy? Nah

Doing their best to kill off those who have shellfish allergies. Oh well just more useless eaters not eating.

Yes! Biotech is going to destroy human health.

Expand full comment

Hasn't technology just really improved our lives?

Expand full comment

The latest technology seems to be all harm no benefit for human beings as a whole. I cannot think of anything that is made better. It’s laughable the way they are still trying to sell it as it’s being imposed.

Chitin is, if I'm not mis-remembering, some of what those with seafood allergies ( and sometimes iodine) are allergic to. It's their shells etc. Will they be killing those folks who go into anaphylaxis with seafood?

There are studies about chitin and consumption thereof- it ain't healthy to do so.

There was an old expression. Something about "bug shit crazy". Maybe that's where they got it?

Expand full comment

Good question. I thought the FDA had regulations stating one has to list the ingredients in a food product (don't know about Europe tho, I assume the same).

Expand full comment

We use E-numbers for various additives, though some are also named depending on stuff - nuts and milk f.e. are always named. Ascorbic acid can either be named or use the number.

Fake content lists for Mid-Eastern, African and Asian imported cheap edible goods is a constant problem.

Expand full comment

Our alternative social media has been flooded with the coded names to help us decipher ingredient lists. I’m going to have to recalibrate the grocery run based on this. I just don’t know if I really need to start now or better wait a couple weeks until it ramps up. Exhausting. 🦗

Expand full comment

That's one of the challenges. The constantly changing definitions. For almost everything. By the time you figure out that you don't really want to consume some esoteric polysyllabicly labeled extract of crocodile urine, they change the label, or the product.

Expand full comment

THIS. It's easy enough to say--eat only whole foods! but they want to put it in PASTA! Pasta is like the only way to get kids to eat other good stuff! I'm sure there will be plenty of brands not doing it, but still, it's just really insulting to people who try to eat ethically to do this.

Doubt the importers see it as a "problem".

I was in Austin TX recently and was reading a local foodie magazine. There was a big article about some local restaurants adding bugs to their menus as “exotic delicacies” and being a long term necessary change for “environmental stability”.

Of all the virtuous virtue signaling, “eat bugs to save the weather,” is about as shallow and superficial as it gets.

You look at the menus at Davos - Norwegian salmon, filet mignon - no insects on that menu.

Expand full comment

Norwegian salmon caught in the wild, not farmed.

Caught the same day, not frozen just put on ice, and then flown to Davos, reloaded to the helicopter that does taxi-service from the airport to the conference facility.

To save the climate, don't you know.

I watched a lot of Australian Masterchef. In their 10th season, they had an episode where the contestants cooked for prince (at the time) Charles. They had already cooked with bugs in a season or 2 prior so it was not surprising that one of the ingredients they were able to work with was ants. So one group made an appetizer with ants and it was served to Charles, with the contestants thinking 'well he's in to all things nature'. He had quite a disgusted look on his face when he found out.

I'm guessing it wasn't his regular fare.
