I grew up hooked on sci-fi. The old non-PC stories and novels. I can recall one story that posited the opinion that snakes and spiders were escapees from an alien spacecraft eons ago and that's why most humans have an innate revulsion to those creatures.
There are too many mentally-ill people around to take any of the yelling personally. Two days ago on a rainy afternoon, typical of Oregon in the fall, I saw a young woman (all by her very lonesome) crossing a street wearing a hoodie and a huge face mask (covering her nose fully, of course). Gotta protect yourself from all the viruses and bacteria being emitted by cars. Right? SMH... if it wasn't for Substack and Telegram, I would've lost it by now.
