Wouldn’t this make them cat-atonic?…

They didn't stop doing lobotomies, they just changed the method and location - now they're carried out non surgically in schools.

If you really think about it, COVID hysteria is a combination of a lobotomy and eugenics - both settled science back in the day.

I thought that the chemical-laden swab I have to jam up my nose for unvaxxed covid testing that allows me to go to work was the modern version of the lobotomy?

My Dad was a journalist in the 1970’s. Growing up poor in an abusive, alcoholic home, and turning 18 in combat trapped at the top of a mountain, not much shook him up. To this day he says 2 stories he covered really upset him/ messed with him.

The first was going to services at one of those snake venom churches in Western Virginia (not WV). The second was interviewing people who had had a lobotomy. The latter was FAR more upsetting. He could never figure out how doctors allowed themselves to perform hundreds, some thousands, of these procedures when the terrible results were obvious and pronounced.

I think more radical treatment is required, amputation at the neck.

I was aware that lobotomy was once a popular treatment, but I still had to Wiki Munoz. Yes, he did indeed win a Nobel. Creepy! I'm sure that some brain surgery has its place, but yes, a tool can be put to evil use, often simply by trying to do too much good. Surely the lobotomy will join the Hall of Medical Shame along with such bloopers as the very long delay in accepting Semmelweis's counsel for a physician to simply wash his hands with soap and water between patients. I suspect that mRNA jabs for billions of people, absent any long term proofs of safety, will join that list. This last assumption would require that sanity may return to governments, but even that may be a lost hope. Alas, we may in fact be lurching towards some dystopian world. Realistically, I cannot see any way that our existing governments would be able to say (in a bad case scenario) "Yeah, we're sorry that millions of people were crippled or died as a result of a rushed, mandated experimental vaccine. But hey, we thought it was a serious plague. We promise it won't happen again." I think the rot is too widespread, the systems too far corrupted.

Anyone familiar with the movie/series "12 Monkeys"? It's about a plague that wipes out most of the human race in 2017 and time travelers from the future are trying to stop it. Kind of interesting to see parallels with what is going on there.

Driving a nail into someone's head seems pretty inexact. I say we implant a brain chip to make the patients follow the Constitution and remind them of various top-down failures.

I always used to hear that the low for medicine was using leeches to let out evil spirits or something. The funny thing is even to this day, on a small subset of the population (I.e. postmenopausal women with excessive iron levels) leeches could have actually performed great things. It was the one size fits all nature that killed it. With lobotomy? I don't know. I guess it would have made some shrieking hysterics quieter...
