twitter harmed a whole generation of america by preventing it from knowing its own mind and allowing a small group of political extremists to, like the bolsheviks once did, pretend to be the the majority and cow the actual majority in to silence and acquiescence.

societies pivot on this perception of just who is the mass movement and who the minority. making the mass succumb as if it were a minority is the longstanding tool of elitist info war.

it is how the few subdue the many and take their power by making them afraid to resist.

we can argue about how much of this was deliberate and how much emergent, but that fact that it happened in the US is not looking like much of a debate anymore.

and the middle is about to realize it.

and that is how a whole system flips valence.

It is hard to overstate the importance of what Musk is doing here.

The propaganda and censorship regimes the neo-bolsheviks have imposed on both traditional and new media are the equivalent of an opening artillery barrage softening up the target in preparation for the all-out frontal assault.

Musk has exposed a crucial component of the enemy order of battle and disposition, showing it to be far weaker and shallower than generally thought.

Make no mistake that for quite some time we have been engaged in an existential war to preserve our liberty and society, and we have been losing badly due to divided forces, disarray, distraction, and a general, demoralized unwillingness to bring the fight to the enemy.

Let us hope these revelations lead, finally, to a stiffening of opposition spines and the mounting of a devastating counterattack that changes the nature of the engagement.

Even if this alone does not turn the tide, at least, for once, we will actually be in the fight, instead of losing slowly through endless appeasement and withdrawal.

Enough.

Is the middle "about to realize it", though?

A few days ago, IIRC, I saw a blurb that the Sunday shows on ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN covered this Twitter story (the first installment) for a COMBINED seven seconds.

How is the middle to learn ANYthing about what Twitter did if their sole source of "news" - the alphabet legacy media - don't cover it, don't report it? LIVs are LI precisely because their sources of news aren't newspeople, they're inveterate propagandists. And that's not gonna change.

So we on the Right will say "another conspiracy theory is proved true", the Leftists will call it "old news" and a "nothingburger" in defending the Democrat Party...and millions upon millions of American voters will know NOTHING about the legitimate, ongoing threat to the republic, because the alphabet legacy media will make SURE of it.

Expand full comment

"if their sole source of "news""

MMM is no longer the middles sole source of news. It's Twitter and FB and Youtube. Why this matters.

Expand full comment

Unfortunately, the middle still waits for MSM to report things like this, or they'll never see it.

Here's a look at MSM today the 9th of December:

Over at CNN, they currently have two stories that have Twitter in the title. They are:

-"Musk says Twitter is rolling out a new feature that will flag 'shadowbanning.' It's complicated"

-"Elton John is quitting Twitter, saying platform's policy shift will let misinformation flourish"

At MSNBC, there is only one story today:

- "It sure looks like Elon Musk is purging left-wing Twitter users. That's alarming."

NBC News has a "Twitter" section in it's "Business, Tech, and Media" section, so surely they are reporting on this, right?. Nope. One story:

- "TWITTER - Lawsuit accuses Twitter of targeting women for layoffs"

ABC News follows NBC's lead with 1 story:

- "Women sue Twitter alleging discriminatory layoffs"

CBS News, 1 story:

- "Employee bedrooms at Twitter headquarters"

A lot of people will never wake up if this kind of coverage continues. They are actively burying a huge story in favor of publishing anything and everything that the establishment thinks will damage Musk.

This is how we get to a point where we inhabit the same physical space with people who live in an entirely different reality. The MSM is the main cause of increased polarization and radicalization that has our nation on the brink.

It's really sad to watch, and it's disheartening to still be continually dismissed by all of the people who still buy into the establishments narratives.

I heard that with musks's tweet, "My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci," the MSM is finally taking notice. I have to hold my nose to go look for myself. Haven't checked yet. But it would make sense that this is the last wall they need to keep standing because MSM was and is SO DEEP in the $h!T when it comes to pHarma Fraud pushing.

One need only to look at California and gay marriage. I’m not making a judgement on either side…but California voted to ban gay marriage and a few years later…look where we are! Propaganda works!

Expand full comment

I don't know whether to blame that on propaganda. California's Prop 10 (IIRC; could have the number wrong) was overturned by a single judge, and again, IIRC, he is/was gay but not out, so he had a conflict of interest that no one knew about, which he did not disclose until AFTER he had subverted the will of the California people, and of course he did not recuse himself from the case. All IIRC.

Expand full comment

Yeah, I get that. That’s not what I am really talking about, though. I am more-so saying one of the most liberal states voted against gay marriage in 2008. 14 years later we have trannies gyrating in public and people who take their kids to it. It’s wild.

Dr. Bhattacharya is something like the anti-Fauci. If you listen to him speak in public, it's clear he is a physician and not a media liaison. It doesn't feel like you're spending undue energy parsing weasel words.

That makes him gravely dangerous.

I caught up with an old friend recently and he said he kind a liked Fauci during the whole pandemic. I found this quite unbelievable. I know at the start he kind of went against Trump, which would explain a lot (here in Europe the media was overwhelmingly against Trump). But Two and a half years on and people still don't see through Fauci's contradictions and lies?

Expand full comment

If all they ingest, like my elderly parents, is the mainstream media, they still aren't exposed to the lies. They follow the narrative. I've given up trying to un-brainwash my father. I've tried over and over again to share el gato's and others data with him and if I don't get a tl;dr, don't confuse me with facts response, the other reply is "if you were right, how come I don't see that on the news". Until MSM ceases their propaganda, nothing is going to really change for those who don't actively seek information. I see it today is my nice red state where 30% of the folk in the stores are still wearing useless masks.

I have said for years that the real, ultimate enemy of our republic is the MSM. Without the Left's devoted running dog propagandists, their politicians would have nowhere near the powe and presence they currently enjoy. Musk cleaning out Twitter's Augean Stable is a good start, but it's only a start.

Expand full comment

Agree that running dog propagandists are the enemy of all, however the thing they're powering? That treadmill underneath? It's operators seem ultimately neither left or right, but part of an elite network of individuals and institutions intent on using their colossal wealth/influence to maintain and expand power through any and all means including violence, coercion deception, exploitation, ruthlessness. For now, the people who let MSM make their meaning (include those who passively suck Fox teat) believe it to be serving "progressive" or "liberal" or "left" interests, and superficially it can be framed that way, but scratch the surface, and the values costume disappears. But the costume keeps the gullible tuned in.

“In 1946 the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution reading in part, ‘freedom of information is a fundamental human right, and the touchstone of all the freedoms to which the United Nations is consecrated.’ This is our touchstone as well. This is the code of the Voice of America. We welcome the view of others. We seek a free flow of information across national boundaries and oceans, across iron curtains and stone walls. We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”

—President John F. Kennedy, Address on the 20th Anniversary of the Voice of America, February 26, 1962

It's not perjury if the semantics are sufficiently creative. That's the whole issue with the convo around "shadowbanning." I.e. "no we're not shadowbanning anyone under this very specific definition of 'shadowbanning' which doesn't represent the original accusation!"
