the man has no idea what he’s talking about, never did, and worse, never cared. this has all been spin, politics and bluster.
and this weekend’s sunday shows were no different:

well, at least this time, he seems to have learned enough epidemiology to tailor his predictions to the dominant seasonal pattern like a witch doctor of yore predicting the weather turning warm in 2 more moons.
(this trend is catching on. seasonal peak for the US is in about 2 weeks. don’t let anyone tell you that their policy of X stopped the spread without showing you a control group as comparison and demonstrating curve separation. otherwise, you’re probably being sold a sun dance at 6AM as the only reason we currently have a ball of fire in the sky…)
but even this newly cunning court astrologer seems to feel the need to walk back some of his previous positions.
apparently, it’s just no longer the case that we need to be on the case of the cases.
tracking them is now surplus to needs…
perhaps it’s time to pivot before too many people wise up to the negative VE’s and antigenic fixation caused by narrow, leaky therapeutics?
when they outcome is bad, stop counting it?
because the guys who have sold you cases and zero covid sure would like a new means of keeping score all of a sudden.
but in all of this, one thing remains manifestly clear: some memes are evergreen.
an honest question:
if you have not yet decided that this man is a complete and total fraud, making up facts and theory as he goes and tossing them out as tawdry tactical tinsel to blind and confuse our societal radar, what would it actually take to convince you he’s a charlatan?
how many reversals, reversions, and flat out inversions would it take? how badly would tony need to tank a prediction, reverse a claim, or disavow a claim he boldly portrayed as “settled science”?
is there anything he could do that would finally make you throw in the towel?
because if there is not, then you are in a cult.
and if there is, but you have not yet reached that point, then i am deeply curious to hear what it is…
because i for one have had about enough of this mephistophelean meddling and false faucian bargains.

We drove into southwestern N.Y. state yesterday afternoon. We live in PA. At the grocery store in Chautauqua County there were 3 of us not wearing masks. Everyone else was, something I hadn't seen since the winter of 2020. The checkout person told me that N.Y. state is under a mask mandate until the middle of February, but that it is not being enforced, meaning it's voluntary. Just when I thought that people were catching on to the lies, hundreds of people shopping yesterday were masked up again.....against a common cold.
