*They* may not want to play pandemic anymore, but I definitely now want to play "make suffer greatly those who played pandemic for 2 years".

When are we going demand they stop all of this fraudulent COVID testing….even the CDC says the test are worthless, but still we keep testing.

I noticed that just recently NYU stopped putting a notification every time I logged on that I was "out of compliance" with their vaccine requirement and pausing my entry into the site for 30 seconds (presumably so I could think about what a naughty girl I am). On the other hand, they are still reminding everyone that they really need to upload their proof of having had the booster ASAP. I guess they're either not keeping up with the news from European regulators about boosters. Or, they are trying to get as much poison into as many arms as they can before they have to stop.

The NHL made it over the 50% mark of players that had COVID this season a couple of weeks ago. Only one unvaccinated player. It is probably over 70% now. Quite insane.

Meanwhile, the province of New Brunswick, next to where I live, is going into a 16-day lockdown at midnight tonight - 0 public gatherings, can only socialize with your own household, no dine in, no gyms, no sports, no kids in school.

Canada hasn’t gotten the message it’s over yet. :’(

Dangit- I was working on gathering a list of all the NBA players who have tested positive this year to write a substack. I have been gathering just based on news reports, but wrote to nba.com yesterday to see if they could provide a complete list. While I applaud the strategy, it kills my next substack post 😆. I was tracking this down in alphabetical order: Atlanta- 13 players, Boston- 16, Brooklyn- 14, Charlotte- 13, Chicago- 16... this is all out of roster sizes of 17.

That's good news. Now we just need to get US public schools to stop testing students who have a runny nose or who aren't even sick. I see solemn news reports announcing how schools are short staffed and many students are absent. Yet few or no kids are seriously ill or dying from the coronavirus, or even sick in the first place.

As a parent of a student in public schools, it's crystal clear that the public school systems are causing their own problems with short staffs and student absences. Their fear-based policies of repeatedly testing every kid and staff member, even those who aren't sick at all are mind-blowingly dumb. And these ridiculous policies will likely never go away, unlike in the NBA. If you're able to get your child into a private school, run as fast as you can!

The CDC (Center for Discombobulation and Control) openly admitted that their COVID death numbers have been off, way off, to the tune of over a 75% miscalculation. They claim that over 75% of 'COVID' deaths previously reported were actually from people with FOUR or more comorbidities (illnesses) who tested positive for COVID. We also know that the PCR tests can't decipher between a flu virus or cold virus, or if it is even an active COVID. All of these positive cases are basically bogus.

The question is which major corporations still want to play suck-up to the Administration by enforcing their own vax mandates. Of course, if they suspect class-action lawsuits, they won't. But if they've only got a minority now of unvaxxed employees, the play-acting continues...

On another note--from yesterday I saw that Twitter no longer allows browsing of previously-public Twitter feeds without signing up for an acct. So Substack samizdat is now more important than ever, with links to other like-minded Felidae...

Here’s hoping there are many lawsuits in the making for the tyrannical dictums of the NBA and NFL. (Not sure about MLB.) I quit watching them all when they bowed the knee to BLM (and opened their checkbooks). Plus, we dumped cable to keep the fear porn out.

When large loot is in-play, and for better or worse, that has been the case for college and professional sports, the pressure against "playing pandemic" eventually becomes unbearable. This leads to policy modifications and, in this case, push-back against dumb-assed practices. Even as a sports fan, unsure how I feel about this. A victory is a victory, though!

I expect Governor Gavin Newsom to double down and not only demand regular hourly testing of all professional athletes, but also all of the equipment, as well. Never can be too careful with the nets or rims or shoes, you know.

I have NBA season tickets for the Sacramento Kings, and as an unvaxxed person, I still have to test negative 24hrs before a game to attend. Vaxxed can go into the arena, regardless of their viral status, even though we know and the bad guys in office know, that the vaxxed are more likely to be infected than the unvaxxed. Since this is California, I doubt any of the testing/vaxx requirements will lessen anytime soon, because all of the government is in thrall to the Pharma Kings. The walls are crumbling and I just know these jackals will double down--MORE VAXX REQUIREMENTS!!!

They can't admit they were intentionally ignoring science, there will be too much of a paper record now in their emails and "confidential" medical surveillance reports to walk back the shot mandates. San Quentin's death chamber may be temporarily closed, but with a new coat of paint, some upgrades in wiring and a few brave souls willing to truly help humanity, we can clean up government pretty fast.

It's amazing! This "brand new" information about "if you are sick, stay home" and, "only get tested if you have symptoms for something". I can't wait until "brand new" information comes out regarding eating right, taking a few supplements, getting some sunshine and fresh air and participating in some moderate exercise once in awhile come out. As for me, I'm not going to do any of this until I'm sure that it's been discovered by "the science" and the corporate media of course. ;-) *Kidding of course. Being a bit sarcastic here.*

Does this mean that at least A FEW "official" people are realizing that it is ridiculous to test people who do not have symptoms of the disease? I have been saying this everywhere for two years; they have kept testing everyone and counting "cases"...

Expand full comment

But what is the real reason?

1. Is it that all those vaccinated players are testing positive (and therefore it's not a good example of how vaccines are "safe and effective")?

2. Too many people testing positive (but otherwise feeling ok) therefore disrupting games (players not available) and schedules?

3. Face value: testing is pointless, if you don't feel well sit a game or two out (like before "Did Not Play -- Flu like symptoms)

'no one wants to play pandemic anymore' except in Canada. Today;s legacy news had an article about a provincial premier catching covid 'when he took his mask off' to speak at a news conference. Our public health officials are so brilliant that they know it happened at that exact moment. I think they're blaming the microphone because everyone else present was vaxxed and boosted including the premier.

Speaking of professional athletes, Alphonso Davies, the 21 year-old star for Bayern Munich, is out at least 4 weeks with myocarditis. He had a booster shot in December, tested positive for Covid on January 4, was asymptomatic but had imaging done as part of the club’s return to play protocol. This is of course being blamed on Covid but could easily be a consequence of the booster shot on its own or the booster and infection shortly thereafter. Why the hell are they giving uber-healthy 21 year olds booster shots?
