the problem with having “yelling racism every time you do not get what you want” as the only play in your playbook is that sometimes it can make you look pretty stupid.
the wokester reaction to the virginia gubernatorial election has been as predictable as it is tiresome.
yup, you guessed it, it’s not lockdowns, the economy, or parents’ rights to have any say in the education of their kids;
it’s deplorable, angry, ignorant white supremacists. because it’s a known fact that america loves that.
well, my (possibly made up) meme-reporters were not able to reach youngkin, who was probably too busy chasing fake neo-nazis away from his victory party, but they did catch up with winsome sears, the new lieutenant governor.
when asked about this deep white power undercurrent, she had this to say:
in fact, she had quite a lot to say.
you may not have had a chance to hear her speak. you should watch this video. she’s wonderful.
she’s also a literal nightmare for the the entitled progressives who rely on minority grievance as their political cornerstone, using black people as mascots and sputtering in disbelief that it could possibly be their message and not the prejudices of others that makes people dislike this overwrought movement.
sears was an immigrant. then she was a marine. and now she believes with all her heart in the presence and attainability of the american dream. and she wants you to believe in it too.
well hot damn.
this is pure, grade A ideological kryptonite for the pessimistic ideologies of dependence and degradation peddled by the “becky from vassar” class and the predatory politicians that rely on keeping minorities suppressed, angry, and reliant upon the state for support and, worse, for the justification not to strive that hamstrings them through the soft bigotry of low expectations.
winsome is having none of it. and neither should you.
she is the first woman LT GOV in virginia history and the first black woman to win statewide office. she was elected by these same alleged white supremacists. anyone else a little puzzled here?
clearly, these are oddly bent minds collapsing in on themselves and becoming overwhelmed by the crushing informational gravity of narrow obsession. data that fails to fit is simply ignored and hidden from sight by the cognitive processes that prop up bias. or perhaps worse, this is just a cynical form of manipulative populism.
how long before someone goes “elder” on her and call this first generation jamaican immigrant her some sort of “auntie tom race-traitor self-hating black face of white supremacy”?
probably not long. what other card has the petulant progressives to play?
perhaps they can take the matter before newly elected attorney general jason miyares, virginia’s first ever latino AG and explain to this son of a penniless cuban immigrant who arrived homeless in the US how racism has killed the american dream.
look, america is not perfect, nor has it ever been. but the american dream is real. the melting pot of show up, work hard, and become an american and perhaps an american success story is real. if not you, then your kids. i know WAY too many for this to be a fluke.
interestingly, many are immigrants, enough that perhaps one really has to wonder what it is that american born minorities are learning in american schools that is holding them back from similar outcomes. this seems less about skin tone than about attitude. teaching that structural racism will always hold you back and that you can never succeed without some slant to the playing field creates a prison of low expectations and undermines motivation. why play if the game is rigged?
those who tell you there is no american dream are selling your your own servitude and asking you to thank them for it. it’s an ugly, self serving ideology to subjugate minorities and prevent them from finding their own strength and realizing their own potential. lionize aggrievement over work ethic and achievement, and you get a class of perpetually angry dependents.
is it any wonder their parents are waking up to the damage being done to their children in schools and want control back?
perhaps this is less “white moms protecting white sons" than it is black moms wanting this CRT poison out of the ears of their children. because this is the real alliance: ALL the parents together seeking to encourage and enable ALL their children to learn and strive and be their best selves and the obsessions of race hustlers be damned. they have done enough damage already.
performative anti bigotry is just, in fact, bigotry. it’s the same desire to bully and force, but twisted around to try to make it seem virtuous. it’s just a mask to hide their racist undertones because it’s now the more socially acceptable way to act like a supercilious, patronizing thug.
ask yourself this: who is the racist? one who would tell you you cannot compete on a level playing field and so we must erect a society of explicit, ubiquitous, and hectoring racial stratification or one who would seek to make society color-blind and encourage each and all to strive to attain their best lives in concord with one another?
weren’t we supposed to be making this about the content of one’s character, not the tint of one’s epidermis?
how can we move past racism when everything always has to be defined and measured by race?
should we even be keeping track of “first black woman to X”? or can we move on and just say “winsome sears has a compelling vision for virgina and for america and we should listen” and leave her race and gender out of it?
watching these folks make everything about race is like watching some out of control OCD downspiral where someone scrubs their dining table down to paper-thin wood shavings because if we just clean a little more we won’t have to worry about cleaning.
look, racism is real, but making every single thing about race is not the way to oppose it. it’s a way to feed it and make what was a fading issue into a needless obsession.
this is precisely what happens when you let critical race theory loose because the literal axle on which that whole weaponized fraud of a faux philosophy turns is that “all relations are about racial power dynamics. tear everything else down, but this statement is sacrosanct and cannot be questioned.”
what save toxic race obsession can possibly grow from such tainted soil? all this performative anti-racism is like a napalm kit for phony firemen.
some people are jerks. they always will be. that’s hardly a reason that we all must become jerks and to codify that jerkiness into law and legalism, stricture and structure. that’s not the path to social harmony. that’s the recipe for the endless war of group on group so that the state may divide and rule them and lavish goodies upon its supporters. these people are either stupid or ruthlessly machiavellian manipulators. which one make you want them setting policy?
the promise was always pursuit of happiness. there was no guarantee of or entitlement to catching it.
such pursuit is the right and purview of a citizen. guarantees and preferencing are the hallmarks of a vassal.
there is something of a pascal’s wager here:
you can’t fail if you never try, but neither can you succeed.
you can decide you are excluded from the american dream and doom yourself to failure and to life as a ward of the state or you can decide to believe in the dream and to risk pursuing it. perhaps you will succeed.
choose wisely. a pretty prison is no less a cage for being enticing to enter. it’s the leaving part you’ll find more difficult…
As a white supremacist (I've decided to just go ahead and own it), I enjoy helping to elect members of lesser races so much, I'll even spend my own money to help them win elections in other states. I ESPECIALLY like helping elect members of lesser races that share my politics, patriotism, personal style, and preferences for rail-mounted optics, people that- if not for their unfortunate genetic inferiority- I would probably be best friends with.
Why, you may ask, would a white supremacist such as myself do such a thing, thereby undermining the stranglehold my glorious race holds over literally all positions of power?
Simple. If they inevitably fail, I can say "I told you so."
It's a really long-term, high-level strategy. I don't expect any of you untermenschen to understand it.
But that's why we white supremacists keep making moves that don't appear to have anything to do with white supremacy. *taps forehead*
"teaching that structural racism will always hold you back and that you can never succeed without some slant to the playing field creates a prison of low expectations and undermines motivation."
It's also child abuse.
