My current "favorites" on Twitter are the guys who respond, "Please post a reference for this" when someone else posts a very general summary of broad, comprehensive information that has been discussed at great length on Twitter over many months. I guess they want to disagree and think they sound all sciencey when they do this. Sure, request a cite for some specific point of info, but their ask is moronic, most especially on Twitter.

It's funny that the MSM still pushes Twitter like it's an accurate reflection of the zeitgeist. But then, that shows lack of self-awareness since it means they think that they are at all reflective of the zeitgeist... or that anyone takes the MSM seriously.
