Well, it wasn't always that way. I want clean air, rivers, organic food, less deforestation, less unnecessary wars. Thirty years ago, I would describe myself as a progressive. But, unfortunately, being a progressive today means being okay with: open borders, pornography in public school libraries and the sexualization of children, forcing small farmers out of business, mandatory experimental injections, sending all of our tax money to foreign wars, censorship of free speech (including doctors and scientists) when it goes against the government narrative, nonsensical voting policies, subsidizing useless, toxic, whale and bird-killing wind/solar with our tax money, teaching children to judge people based on the color of their skin (opposite of what MLK taught us), and turning a blind eye to the fact that every single one of our regulatory agencies is completely captured.
It's pretty much the exact opposite of what it was back when I was considered a progressive. I haven't changed my core values at all since then, but now I'm considered a moderate conservative simply because I want logic, sanity, and justice.
