This is the kind of uproar I was waiting for in the early fall of 2020 when all the big corporations imposed mandates. But no... people droned into WalMart from their car with covered faces like good boys and girls (I did not, and still got in no problem). Perhaps it's a positive that the mask thing was overplayed everywhere to the point where people will never tolerate it again.
The alacrity with which most of the population masked up in 2020 must have given some people a taste of power they are reluctant to relinquish. Because if you are honestly interested in whether masks stop the virus, and look at the evidence, you must admit they don’t. It must be intoxicating to tell people what to do and see them comply. What they don’t realize is that the driver was fear, and not their own high holiness. Fear has a fatigue factor. Two years is long enough to figure out for most of us, this virus isn’t deadly. We’re done.

Philadelphia tried to bring masks back but it only lasted 4 days before they reversed it. We must keep pushing back!
