I think the woke left youngsters who fall for this climate hoax are the ones who never studied any science. Like all 3 of my kids. If I send them articles like yours they just go ballistic and accuse me of believing everything I hear from Fox News.

Omg....my 19 & 22 y.o. are the same!! Social media and school indoctrination have warped their analytical skills, for sure. Yesterday, I cooked a delicious Copper River wild-caught salmon (we live in Oregon) that everyone loved. When I mentioned to my daughter that we should have fish at least 1x/week, her instant response was to ask why and her concern for over-fishing!! Ugh!

These kids are being trained to reject all forms of NATURAL FOOD SOURCES as damaging to the environment. Yet, feeding their bodies with highly processed foods, fake meat (never allowed in my house), and whatever Bill Gates comes up with it's touted as the best. SMH...all natural things are "bad for planet earth". I'm not giving up on sharing all I know about regenerative agriculture, and the benefits of a whole-foods, organic (as much as possible) diet. They just refuse to listen to the news about farmers protesting in Europe, or the destruction of livestock under the guise of 'bird-flu'.

It's comforting to know I'm not the only one dealing with this issue.

Expand full comment

gold star for persisting! I can't imagine how frustrating this would be for a parent. Wild-caught salmon is pretty much what I live on. (I don't trust commercial farming with all the vaccines, antibiotics and poor animal treatment and the slaughterhouses are abominable horrors ... which all goes into the meat. No can do.) Organic always, very very few processed foods. Overfishing can happen, but I think there's enough rankings of sources now to enable wise choices.

Expand full comment

Does Fox News even present this stuff?

Expand full comment

Fox News… Controlled opposition… kinda like the purple Uniparty… 🤦🏽‍♀️

Expand full comment

Good question. They seem to studiously avoid the issue as far as I can tell, but then I don't watch it that much.

Expand full comment

And I'm sure they would never be caught dead watching Fox News. So how do they know what Fox News talks about? How do they know it's "bad"? It's incredibly depressing how many "liberals" will never listen to those media outlets or commentators that they believe are "conservative". By refusing to listen to "conservative" commentators or media outlets, they are limiting their understanding of the world. That's why the narrative pushers work so hard to kill the messenger, to smear anyone who has a view that questions their own, as if killing the messenger kills the message. Sadly, though, killing the messenger DOES kill the message for many because they will refuse to even listen to a messenger who's been successfully smeared by the narrative pushers (lying liars).

Similar to the color change for political parties. Democraps used to be red, Republicans blue. But then one morning the newspaper (hmmm, fewer and fewer remember those) had switched 'em, red being the chosen color of Communism, and thus a touch too obvious symbolism for the Dummos. Presto, CHANGE-O!

Expand full comment

Yeah, sort of weird because red used to be associated with communism. Which is right up the Democrat's alley.

In the UK, Labour have stayed Red - they used to sing 'The Red Flag' at party conferences (maybe they still do) and still people voted for them in their millions. Sir Kneeler Starmer is a Trotskyist. Baffled how people willingly vote for their own enslavement.

I think a similar analysis could be done on the weather in Washington, DC. I grew up here. But residents are constantly hysterically complaining, "OMG! This is the hottest summer EVER! Global WARMING!" To me, it's SUMMER! The summers actually felt hotter to me in the 1960's and 70's.

AND, there are areas here that ARE HOTTER - the areas where they removed ALL the TREES and created enormous concrete deserts. Bad forestry and construction/urban development policy.

The other thing that was so annoying about Beryl was how incomplete the news about it was here in Puerto Rico. It looked like it wasn't going to hit, but it sure would have been nice to have local news articles whose ledes confirmed, "Yup, still not going to hit us" rather than copy-pasted and translated headlines from AP (or whatever) that screamed "EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CAT 3!!!" and EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CAT 4!!!" (So even AP - or whatever - didn't bother writing new headlines.)

Once again it's obvious that the news services aren't there to inform us but to terrorize us. It's why I call the people involved info-terrorists and not journalists.

Great Stats with Cats article!

So, the solution to climate change according to the climate experts is to give the planet an ACE Inhibitor. BP medication for the whole planet. (BP stands for Barometric Pressure). They tell us this wouldn't happen if there was no us. Yet there is climate change on planets with out any us. Well, if we stayed home or at least 15 minutes from there, stopped manufacturing, agriculture, consuming, transportation, and farting the world would . . . do what? Have evened out seasons? But, of course, there would be exceptions for important people to fly in private Jets. They have global conferences to attend, don't ya know. For the rest of us, we can go fly a kite. The problem would remain as to how they would be able to fuel those private jets. We will have to consult Greta about that. Perhaps at a conference in Davos and we could invite Og to attend.

Interesting comments about Sahara sand plumes making it unpleasant for Puerto Rico. Two years ago on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, we suffered through a winter of Saharan dust storms.
