Antiviral (e.g. HIV, dengue, encephalitis)

Recent research has confounded the belief, held for most of the past 40 years, that ivermectin was devoid of any antiviral characteristics. Ivermectin has been found to potently inhibit replication of the yellow fever virus, with EC50 values in the sub-nanomolar range. It also inhibits replication in several other flaviviruses, including dengue, Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis, probably by targeting non-structural 3 helicase activity.97 Ivermectin inhibits dengue viruses and interrupts virus replication, bestowing protection against infection with all distinct virus serotypes, and has unexplored potential as a dengue antiviral.98

Ivermectin has also been demonstrated to be a potent broad-spectrum specific inhibitor of importin α/β-mediated nuclear transport and demonstrates antiviral activity against several RNA viruses by blocking the nuclear trafficking of viral proteins. It has been shown to have potent antiviral action against HIV-1 and dengue viruses, both of which are dependent on the importin protein superfamily for several key cellular processes. Ivermectin may be of import in disrupting HIV-1 integrase in HIV-1 as well as NS-5 (non-structural protein 5) polymerase in dengue viruses.99, 100

ivermectin likely prevents flu as well as other viral replication. same for hcq.

What?! You mean it has other uses than as a horse wormer? (Sarcasm) looking at msm for the last few days and all the hysteria over ivermectin one would never know this. 🙄

it's funny, no?

they act like this is some veterinary drug with no human safety data. (or covid data, despite something like 70 studies)

they look to explicitly remove physician discretion.

then they act like no drug has ever been used off label before. (most are. it's a very common practice)

then they keep the EUA live for a drug that had to cheat to clear it's original trial and has failed it's subsequent trials so badly even the WHO is advising against use.

why, it's almost enough to make you think their primary agenda might not be maximizing public health anymore...

Expand full comment

Makes me think “their primary agenda” is just the opposite. As I know you are implying.

From my personal observations over the last nearly two years, there is a characteristic that everyone who contracts this “virus” and has little trouble with it and those who haven’t contracted the “virus” nor anything other respiratory infections have in common. Simply put, they are healthy. They don’t live on processed food, they aren’t obese. They get exercise and sunshine and might even supplements. They seem to want to take care of the temple.

That people don’t see and recognize this isn’t a mystery to me.

My wife still smokes Taylor-mades.

But who could blame her for trying to get away quicker after forty years with me.

Yes these people are not horses!

Expand full comment

Correct. I am beginning to think horses have more sense 😂

yup- have been telling people, and even those with a MASTERS IN PUBLIC HEALTH that people have been taking this drug for 40+ years. Why don't they know this and why is it being kept from being prescribed by Drs. I hear pharmacies won't fill the Rx. Guess I am headed to the Feed/Tractor store if I get sick! (I had some on hand as I was giving it to a mangy coyote for a long time- needed to replenish my stock much earlier I guess!)

Expand full comment

hey, let's keep people from getting the safe drugs in controlled doses and drive them to seek unsafe drugs with hard to control dosing.

then we'll blame them for the problems that arise!

well, at least it's consistent with the DEA/war on drugs policy...

That's the grift! Do the kids still say that?

Cheryl, I got a script written from a doctor friend of mine and filled through a compounding pharmacy. Many retail pharmacies in Toronto and surrounding areas have been instructed not to fill the scripts while docs are threatened from the College of Physicians and surgeons to stick to the vaccine as the only solution with little to no guidance around how one might improve their health through diet, supplementation and exercise.

Wow. Why are these agencies falling in line, such as American Assoc. of Pediatrics? (recommending masks for young kids!) It's almost as if they are getting paid off or something.

It is a cult and mass psychosis. Not sure how we come out the other side. I am fearful for what is coming this fall/winter from these bastards. Have hired an employment lawyer to fight company policy of vaxxed to enter the office. Ironically in my office of 100 people with roughly 25% unvaxxed, it is many of the vaxxed who don’t want to return to premises. All anecdotal and observational guesses but a handful of colleagues who are critical thinkers are clamouring to be back in the office. Company recognizing medical exemptions but College of Physicians and Surgeons now demanding doctors include reason for medical exemption which is against privacy laws. Oh well just toss those to the side because of a disease with a survival rate of 99.5% in the healthy. I might add even though it looks like big brother may recognize medical exemptions to abstain from the therapeutic needles, rumblings are that they will demand the modern lepers (cool song BTW) get regular testing. It is all Kabuki theatre of the most bizarre order now. Keep asking folks in my circle of friends and family, if they are paying attention to the data from Israel. None were/are aware of these developments. Yup this is clearly a cult and a mass psychosis. Look at what is happening in New Zealand for 49 cases for crying out loud. Sticking to my guns but not very optimistic.

So sorry you ar egoing through this, but know you aren't alone. Daughter also is subject to 2x week testing (self testing...yeah, no room for any error there!) and in a propagandized zoom meeting yesterday (for only the unvaccinated!-with names available on the zoom meeting, of course) the question was posed about what is going to happen when the new test comes out in Dec. and of course no one could answer that. We are traveling together soon and it will interfere with her being tested, but the person in charge said "well, just let me know the dates so I don't have to write you up as being non-compliant"- huh. She was also asked for "more information" re: medical exemption and she refused as it's none of their business. You would think a behavioral health agency (big one by the way) would (1.) know the law and (2.) be looking out for their employees' mental health through all of this-they have only created more anxiety and stress for them. Cult indeed!

This is not being recommended on the link provided by Scuba Mike for Covid AT ALL. It is being provided for this precisely: Intestinal Parasite Guidance

Parasitic Treatment: Strongyloidiasis, Schistosomiasis, and Soil-Transmitted Helminth Infections

Scroll down and you will see. It is not the CDC saying, give them ivermectin as a precursor to Covid. I am from Brazil and we use Ivermectina maybe once a month or for a gut cleanse if we have eaten shell fish, or any river fish, or traveled to the jungles (Pantanal, Amazon) or the Northeast where sanitation can be so so and water --- not so good.

Correct and El Gato noted that in his post in the first line below the tweet.

The point is in the retweet: that word "presumptive therapy" means it's being administered JUST IN CASE the patient has been exposed to loa loa.

If this is lethal fish bleach, why on earth would you risk giving it to potentially perfectly healthy people, especially for a condition that isn't spread through human hosts?

Answer: you'd do it if it posed virtually no serious risk whatsoever to a patient that didn't turn out to need it but could treat them for a potentially dangerous illness.

But it's so dangerous- this thing they're giving refugees and asylum seekers that potentially don't even need it- that we can't get it, and you're instantly banned from social media for even mentioning it in the same ZIP code as COVID.

THAT'S the point.

IVM is off-patent. Anyone can manufacture it. Could easily be as low as $1/day.

Nuf said.

Provided the fed doesn't come for them for doing so, that's good news.

Don't really go for single-variable explanations that don't at least consider confounders.

A friend of mine, her husband, and her son all came down with C19 a couple weeks ago while on vacation at the beach. I gave her some of my stockpile of Quercetin, EGCG, etc., when she returned home several days later. They've been having a slow recovery. One of her neighbors gave her this link. She was able to get a script within a day. Walgreens couldn't (or wouldn't) will it, so she transferred the script to Amazon. It was going to take 3-4 days. I haven't asked her about it today. We live in the Philadelphia suburbs.

I'm already in the queue with two different doctors for appts (one I've already paid for), so I haven't submitted a request.

That's all I know.

I ordered from a drop shipper on India Mart. I’ve heard stories that ivermectin is being seized at US customs- anyone have any info on that?

I got some a similar way and it made it through customs 😉
