You are hitting this one outta the park, gato. Can't wait to read parts 2 & 3. And the abundance of memes included is like extra treasure.

Ecclesiastes was written by Solomon some 3500 years ago and he reports there is nothing new under the sun and, 3:16 Moreover, I saw under the sun that in the place of justice, even there was wickedness, and in the place of righteousness, even there was wickedness.

Wickedness and lies ruled then too.

It's beyond bizarre that people still believe such tripe. It's the 21st century - we have archaeology now.

Expand full comment

"We have archaeology now."

I would posit that this is similar, tripe. "Archaeology" is unable to provide clues as to what happened in the past 160 years, let alone the past few thousand.

There are notable exceptions, such as Robert Schoch, but for the most part, archaeology is just another type of theocracy, whose job is to shape the prevailing narrative and avoid doing any, you know, actual -science.-

The false dichotomy (causing people to be driven "from pillar to post," when in reality they are the same thing, a piece of wood driven into the ground) caused by this "either religion or science" is part and parcel how those that consider themselves "our owners" effect their control of our minds.

The proper starting point for a seeker is to remember that "nothing is true." This is not nihilism, it is a "slate cleaner" to allow one to attempt to bring their perceptual reality in line with empirical reality. "Belief" devoid of evidence is foolishness, as is the contrary position that science removes the need for belief. We are thinking beings, but also intuitive.

One does not cut off their left arm because the have a perfectly good right arm, in the same way we should not shun aspects of our information-gathering abilities because we are told they are contradictory.

The Hegelian dialectic has been very effectively used in the past 100 years to take advantage of this cultural blind spot.

I could be wrong, but Kratoklastes might have been saying that the claim that Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes 3500 years ago is tripe, not the contents of the writings themselves.

But I’m not aware of any archaeology that has changed our understanding of the timeline of the Old Testament.

Rick, as you said, that passage was written by "Sol-Amun-(Ra)," high priest of the Sun Temple.

Amun-Ra has managed to be the longest continuously worshipped God-priest of the last five millenia.

Would be impressive if it weren't so unsettling.

A former nurse told me her son got covid because he could not get a booster since he spent a week in the hospital from his second shot. The meme "If my dog had three rabies shots in a year and still got rabies, I would start to ask some questions " immediately came to mind.

Jesus understood the need for memes.

There is a gospel passage where an apostle ask Him why he always speaks in parables to the people. Jesus answer was that people have eyes but will not see, ears but will not hear etc.

Memes go WAY back.

PS: the last 2 in your post are excellent, especially Biden and MBS. Gato, you are one talented feline.

I am astounded that people don’t understand what it take to build a car battery. Plus, they have to be replaced. Talk about pollution.

Yes. We seem to have a crisis of people who can’t think beyond one branch of a decision tree, whether with healthcare, finance, or environmentalism.

That one kills me too. That, and, let's see, the energy of all that gasoline now needing to be electric? And....coming from what new sources, exactly? Not one lib I've talked to takes "building another damn/filling another driven-out-of-business-rancher's-grasslands with 1000's of solar panels/fracking/coal/drilling/'offshore' windfarms (good luck with those, whales!)/etc.," into account, when I ask if they really think EVs are gonna be that much of a savior. Love the meme about government and warlords. It reminds me of a flyer I once saw that read:

"If men are good, then you don't need government.

"But if men are evil, then you don't DARE have government!"

I’m a Reforming Leftist but I was never a tyrant like what I’ve seen and experienced and I never want to take away people’s rights….. I just want to prevent child abuse and help Antifa moms parent their babies with a little love, stability & safety, and secure, instead of disorganized attachment. You know - It’s cruel, selfish, self-centered, abusive and neglectful parenting that’s got us here. Don’t believe me, read Children of the Crèche, or the Orphans of Davenport, those baby brains swung 80 IQ points based on what was done to them & what experienced they lived. IQ is built and so is our Personality - check out Epigenetics and Early Child Development, Epigenetics and Personality development. Neurons that wire and fire together create the foundations for Mind, Brain and Personality for everyone’s better or worse. Come from Hell and it is going to be a massive struggle and people esp kids who struggle get envious and rageful sometimes when it seems that no one cares - about kids and the Hell they are going through. Happiness and Hope Vs Cynism, Rage, Envy and Hate, anyway - I’m not going to try to explain anything anymore - I’m going to try to Meme. Since I’m a Spacially Challenged Leftist - I’ll just do one a Month in my Zone of Proximal Development. In a Month, I’ll do one a week. I do believe if we all did this, we have a chance at changing the world. Thanks

Just so all are aware, the major social media platforms and Big Tech have been developing image recognition tools for a long time. If you change your browser settings to "View page source" (right click on the screen for option) you'll find image analyzers that are able to read text in images, as well as detect what is depicted in the image. Here are links to two .jpgs that I saved screenshots of back in 2020 when I first discovered this feature. They improve them all the time.

Big Tech has designed and update these capabilities for many years now in China. So when it seems like we find an edge we should understand we are not alone and the resourceful freedom lovers in China have and continue to put the censors to the test...that the censors then import tools they've developed to combat free speech from China and stand ready and able to deploy by simply hitting an update button to their applications in the US.
