"under the auspices of the national security advisor" - and her specifically public health credentials seem to have been limited to the fact that she was a personal friend (former supervisor, I believe) of that advisor's (Chinese-born) wife. (see Michael Senger for details: https://www.michaelpsenger.com/ - repeat after me: "...what worked in China")

That's the way patronage and nepotism work in DC - they hire their own and protect their own.

Birx, please recall, retired hurriedly after she declined to follow her own scare-guidance to not travel and not gather with family Thanksgiving 2020. Oh! but she had to prepare her Maryland water front vacation home for sale (so she traveled and dined with her extended family).

That gig at Innoviva (cushy BOD honorariums), by the way, allowed her to grease wheels of government contracts for PPE (remember? "Personal Protective Equipment" - those cloth masks, etc) - for which her gig at the White House created an enormous market (principle Innoviva line of business).

Do I seem not to be a Birx fan?

And then they wonder why people are so angry. Anyone with Birx's track record on the pandemic should be laughed at and never given a position of responsibility again.

That Glencoe / MdR location is not very swank. It’s been used and abandoned by startups over the last 25 years. Some nice restaurants around if you want to take a drive, but the area (last I was there) is pretty overrun with homeless. Birx will likely be working from her posh place in Virginia or Maryland anyway. Really don’t see her stepping over human feces as a lifestyle choice. Regardless of how quickly the company burns through cash, people like her don’t do this for future upside; the board is definitely paying her upfront one way or another.

Maybe she got a contract as part of a DOD Grant… Because otherwise she’s of an age where women normally get discriminated against, let’s be real.

Old(er) women, with a lot of pull in government, don't ever really get discriminated against.

Are all demons born or made?

Expand full comment

Made, is my guess... They consciously and consistently reject God. God, the Creator of all that is, would never reject us first.

Expand full comment

I think it's both. Some people are born evil.

Expand full comment

I agree it is both. I believe demons mainly possess stupid, ego-filled people. I also believe demon possession goes down through generations, so some people are born evil.

Expand full comment

I get your point... Though there's only One Creator of all that is and I don't believe He creates anything as evil, but the rejection of God could occur before incarnation. At some point, God is rejected. In the beginning, the fallen angels, Lucifer & his cohorts were cast out of heaven, having made that choice & were never incarnate beings. So being "born evil" is possible, if rejection of God comes first. The Bible is definitely clear that not everyone is of God.

Is there a German word for something that is both utterly predictable and infuriating at the same time? They just will never ever stop, will they?

Vollvorhersehbaruberargerlichkeit. - There should be Umlauts on the “u” and the second “a” but my app can’t manage those. For the curious, compound noun of voll (complete) + vorhersehbar (predictable) + u[umlaut]ber (over, more than) + a[Umlaut]rgerlichkeit (infuriating). Feel free to add as you please.

The best question is, who put her there? Who recommended her? They are the real player. People like Birx and Walensky are just simple fools in the front. In many cases Walensky was reading from some board during her interviews- you can see her eyes tracking left to right!

This a buy stock in Armata tip, right? It looks like it closed at $1.15 a share on Friday. I may buy a 1,000 shares on Monday.

I did buy the stock. It started climbing. I put a stop order on it if it dropped. It dropped today and triggered my sell. But, I made $980 on $1000 dollar investment in about 30 days!!!
