Great analysis as always. My only contribution is to disagree with the contention that most of the vaccinated got vaccinated for the benefit of society. Most seem to have been driven by fear for their personal safety and did not do ANY research into the vaccines or the possible side effects. I personally almost got the shot until I looked into the subject.

And in my experience, while they (my neighbors in this case) nod their heads and tell me that they know “everyone is going to get it”, and that they, being vaccinated, are “protected”, they stand in total abject fear of me, because I’m not vaccinated. To the point of refusing to roll down car windows to speak to me from 10 feet away. Insanity.

We got so played, treating this like Ebola...when it was the flu and now, a cold. What's most freaky to me is that once they get the whackscene, and they get sick, and you are not sick or well recovered, they can't S T R E T C H their minds to believe that the jab MADE THEM SICKER, SICKER than they would have been, or possibly disabled dead from that very sacred jab. SACRED, SCARED, almost the same word.

The very last entity to be suspected as the cause, just as milk was the last entity to be suspected in the Tuberculosis outbreaks of the last century. So many had died, but the milkman was the last person allowed in the castle, and the royal kids kept dying. They had to have their milk! Will they ever figure it out? A child can see it.

Yeah, the social responsibility crap was trotted out to coerce resisters, and then the fearful crowd grabbed onto it (after getting jabbed) to get the social credit in their circles. Their little eyes must have lit up when they heard about it. Then they crow self-righteously, as usual.

It would be good if people stopped viewing each other as an enemy for different choices, but I am afraid it goes both ways: othering the unvaxxed or disparaging the vaxxed. We are a family of four, with two boys (one adolescent, one young adult). We are all double vaxxed, kids currently dodging boosters. I came to the US from Russia quite a few years ago with a very high respect for American medicine. American medicine is still vastly better than Russian (in my humble personal opinion). Even in this debacle, you guys have data you can discuss, in Russia they don’t even have any stats on their vaccine, they just go for the shots (or not).

Expand full comment

Most people on these kinds of substack discussions have absolutely no enmity towards people who got vaxxed and moved on with life.

It's the fascists pretending to be protecting society who are attempting to literally destroy the lives of people who have no interest in taking part of the largest medical experiment in history who are the enemy.

They have made it that way.

Expand full comment

I want to add that we believed what we were told in the summer, and went for the vax expecting normalcy. Now we are just angry. My husband and I cannot be coerced (both retired), the kids are under the gun. We have made plans to move, transfer and quit whatever they are doing, but no more shots. Fortunately, in America, we have choices.

Brahms, please understand that I am not looking at the vaccinated as the enemy. Quite the contrary…. I know three people that were vaccine injured and many who were forced to get it to work. My problem is with those who decided to get jabbed and are now sanctimoniously telling us that they ‘did the right thing’ for the benefit of society…..because they care.

The intentional aim of collectivizing risk, and transferring it as an individual choice for assessment to one that must consider the risk tolerance of others in society by assuming the worst case outcome based on the potential of an invisible ubiquitous threat whose dangers require an abundance of absurd caution (mostly useless theatre) be exercised to alleviate the neurotic feelings of others from this hypothetical imaginary and invisible harm is one of the most insidious aspects of our present moment and half as comprehensible as this sentence I just wrote. To compare it to wearing a seat belt “to protect others” or stopping at a stop light in automobile traffic is to reveal one’s incapacity toward reason, logic, or rudimentary comparative analysis.

This insidiousness is compounded now with the emergence of symptoms that we once associated with the common cold but are now psychosocially conditioned to apply to our new variant of Covid. It’s the common cold, but because it’s called “covid”, and can only be diagnosed with a “covid test”, our fear response requires a continuation of keeping up all inhumane ritualistic cautionary measures that never worked for any other variant and are by design a test of obedience and submission to willingly partake in the engineered insanity.

Oh, I am not allowed on campus due to my allergies. I pretty much always have ALL the main symptoms of Covid except fever and their panic rules require anyone displaying even just one of Covid’s symptoms to stay away. This has been the case for 2 years now, well just shy of 2 years. But I care not for the rules so don’t care. Comes in handy though, just as Yossarian’s (SP?) unusually high body temp did for him. If required to come in and thus have to wear a mask, I just let my coughing and sneezing run amok over Zoom and they leave me alone.

Growing up, I knew a boy since about second grade who literally ALWAYS had a runny nose and sniffled aggressively like ALL the time. It was taken as a given that he was just globally sickly and was allowed to sit out of gym class, etc., but he was also given an absurdly wide berth even into high school as a disease vector. But as far as I could tell, there wasn't really anything else wrong with him; he was normal height and weight, seemed mentally with it, and so on- dude just perpetually had a cold.

Expand full comment

Hmm are you talking about me I wonder? Actually, I only sometimes have a runny nose, serious sinus congestion nearly all the time. Very very rare that I ever get a full breath of air as my nostrils are constantly at peats partially blocked. Was a nose breather until about 5th got rad e I guess when I learned what the nose does. Then became all but hooked on Dristan Nasal Spray. Even now, in my 50’s, it requires conscious effort to breath through my nose. Always have a headache. Always. A cough or a heavy clearing of the throat is never far away.

Expand full comment

TS: I have similar issues with constant nasal congestion, leakiness, and frequent sinus discomfort. Had an outpatient procedure done almost two years ago that has really helped the ability to draw in a full breath through my nose (no improvement some days, improvement maybe 50% most days, and sometimes totally clear). Sorry I don't know what it's called but my ENT said it's relatively new. Basically they put a frickin' laser up each nostril and zapped the little side passages that are always swollen and it shrinks them down. I had no side effects, just needed a post-surgery regimen of nasal sprays and a course of antibiotics.

Expand full comment

Thanks. If ever this madness ends and I can get back to earning a living I will be looking into that. People who have not experienced this do not know what it is like to not be able to draw a complete breath. Honestly, I did not know myself until I was somewhere with really clean air. It was a magical experience. I could actually feel my nasal passages open up and the air being drawn in. My headache cleared away instantly and my energy level shot up through the roof. A sensation I have experienced only a handful of times in my life.

Expand full comment

TS I really hope that you can find some improvement in the near future. As far as the impact of nasal congestion, it's a bit of a nightmare for me to think what would happen if I were the victim of a crime where they taped my mouth shut. I would beg them to just shoot me because breathing just through my nose is unpossible (although sometimes possible post-surgery).

This hard-left, lifelong Democratic voter has been driven into the arms of Republican candidates because of the left's handling of Covid-19 and spreading falsehoods like getting the Covid-19 vaccine is a social duty. The left likes to compare Republicans to Nazis but after hearing Dr. Mattias Desmet speaking about mass formation, it's clear that many people are vulnerable to falling under the sway of totalitarianism, no matter their voting preferences. It's really sad.

"We" didn't create anything- THEY did.

We need to stop using the term "vaccine" when referring to the mRNA injections.

We need to stop saying that the "the vaccinated are getting more Covid" as what is happening is that those who are getting the experimental mRNA injections are having their immune systems vaporized among other things.

"Covid" is just a catch-all term invented as a ruse for the purpose of creating mass hysteria. Simply put it was the re-branding of the flu/pneumonia/common cold.

People are getting sick from the poison being pumped into their bodies. These are "vaccine" injuries not "Covid."

Expand full comment

It would also help if we stopped saying ‘vaccinated’ and started saying ‘immunised’, because it is the latter that is important, as it means immune for life and unaffected by further exposure to the virus. We would then find that people who are immune are those exposed to/recovered from CoVid and who outnumber the vaccinated who are not immune at all.

Expand full comment

Jessica Rose has adopted “Covid-19 injectable products.” For me, it is a better term than vaccine.

Expand full comment

We just call them "Clot Shots." It infuriates the true believers. In writing I call them injections , so "injectees" , or occasionally the "Vaxxed." The vocabulary is a Newspeak triumph, of course. Had they been honestly described as experimental chemotherapy instead of "vaccines" it would have been a much harder sell.

Expand full comment

Brilliant. Also, the reasoning for getting the vax continues to wane everyday. In Canada, the latest focus has been "get vaxxed to keep hospital beds free"... Meanwhile, infected hospital workers are staying on the job, infecting those in the hospital who are there without omicron. And at least where I am, people that were hanging out with an infected person are encouraged to go to work so long as they are vaccinated and don't have symptoms... Which would be fine if we didnt hear two years of whining about self isolation.

Expand full comment

That seems to be the logic for most vaxx hawks in Canada, but Trudeau is clinging to the supposed rationale of 6 months ago. He told kids to get vaxxed to protect themselves, their families, the immune compromised. There’s still a huge portion of people that think vaccines slow the spread.

"is omicron really this much more contagious or is it vaccines MAKING it this much more contagious?"

Anecdotal: I tested positive Dec 30, everyone else in my household tested negative. None of us are vaccinated. I had an increased sense of smell for 8 days, followed by 2 days of a raspy voice and 1 day of a mild post nasal drip. It was a stretch for me to consider myself "ill" in any way. I did not wear a mask in my home, I did not isolate from others of my household, I continued to cook meals, they continued to eat those meals. At day 5 they wanted to visit family and we all tested again; I was still positive, they were all still negative. (They didn't go) At that point they became a bit obsessed and are still testing themselves near to daily, not one has tested positive, not one has had any symptoms. Now at day 16 from my first positive and first day of a "symptom" of acute sense of smell. I don't know how long the incubation period can possibly be but I'm going to go ahead and assume the 4 other unvaccinated freely exposed to me in my household aren't going to/haven't gotten it from me. Several of those they had intended to visit that are vaccinated did get sick from different exposure, they were incredibly sick. I like to say that my worst symptom was continuing to test positive. Possibly it was wrong of me not to isolate within my home, I don't know. No Kleenex were sacrificed in the completion of that experiment.
