I think one problem that the closed states are running into is that more and more states are ditching the mask mandates, and in NONE of them have we seen covid take off afterward. Every day that goes by, Jay Inslee looks dumber and dumber wearing his mask while alone at home.
At some point, they are FORCED to hang the "Mission Accomplished" sign and declare victory, or risk losing EVERYBODY.
Maybe once people see that masks were NEVER required, they will question the need for lockdowns as well.
Interesting, too, that this happens right after Rand Paul grilled Falsi about his gain of function proclivity. “Look here, not there” really looks to be a good game plan for them.
It was never about protecting the vulnerable, masks, or science. A large segment of the American population used masks as unearned moral superiority; they have a massive inferiority complex and this is their Super Bowl. Because enough people fell for the first wave of hysteria, authoritarians like Andrew Cuomo used it to boost his role. The ruling class uses cultural issues we create to push their agenda. There's no doubt they'll try to do the same with vaxports. Fortunately, I think it will be largely unenforceable as times moves on. how can colleges require the vaccines for students and employees? how is that legal? get a shot or get fired? is there any parallel in any other situation where mandatory medical treatments are required for the job? maybe the military? nurses? workers in a nuclear plant? my small town private college (one of the "wokest" in the land) is requiring the vax for all students and staff. i can't wrap my head around it. they want people to "upload" photographs of papers. "we think it's better if everyone would just get vaccinated." well, is that the only thing you think would be "better?" why stop there? there are other vaccines, why not mandate them all? it's like they're not even thinking about they are doing.
Which is more surprising, Joementia’s ordering the CDC to drop the holy masks or the legacy media treating it like a normal development? But what about the science? What about the impending doom?
What would be the rational argument against the claim that: vaccine passports aren't that unprecedented...children have to be vaccinated against any number of diseases before they are allowed to attend school.
I of course know that this is not a comparable argument, but I haven't been able to think of a good response to a "normie" that parrots this talking point that will get them to reconsider...

The problem is we are not governed by sage and reasonable individuals and more importantly, yours truly would never describe the legacy media as sage and measured. Rather we are governed by ideologists and activists pushing “their science” and to describe them as dogmatic in the pursuit of “their science”, would be putting it mildly. To me this CDC decision is a test to see if COVID really was about following the science to keep us all safe from a global pandemic or if it was something much more nefarious. For reasons so eloquently stated above, we are going to find out how quickly our elected leaders will give us all of our freedoms back by virtue of how quickly the vaccine passport nonsense gets turfed. I for one am going to allow my natural immune system to do its work. I have come to this conclusion by using my personal agency and many years of data analysis and modelling to best evaluate the probability of a fatal outcome from COVID vs. The various side effects from an emergency use treatment using never before commercialized mRNA technology that never made it out of pre-clinical trials. I will add that since we are all apart of a gigantic clinical trial, we have no idea what the long term side effects of these jabs plus multiple boosters might look like. So it seems simple to me - let’s all celebrate by burning our masks! I will take my chances and if I am sick, I can’t make you sick and if you get sick and make me sick, I am going to take my chances.
Everyone who wants to fight vax passports can use Resist.bot to write to their elected officials. I have used it multiple times and have heard back from every rep, senator, and even the governor. I even received a phone call from my state's senator's office that led to a 30 minute conversation on the topic. Our elected officials need to hear that we will not tolerate this kind of oppression.
You should find the clip of Rachel Maddow discussing how she now has to stop judging people who aren't wearing masks. I'm afraid, however, we're headed for the brown shirts. People have too much invested in their false moral high ground.
Biden ain't Mao..... he does not make rules, neither does FDA/HHS/CDC, nor mayors who think those fools can make rules. Rules are not law, even if legislatures pass paper to give unconstitutional authority.
Masks seem to be equal to vaccines, for some inknown purpose. So masks that don't work are equal to vaccines that could hurt you.
