In New Jersey, the government in Newark voted to revoke the licenses of two Lukoil gas stations in the city. Senator Cory Booker backs this move, saying that the employees should be able to find other jobs since so many places are hiring. Hopefully that will be the case. But this is a minority, urban community where I would bet the employees walk or bike to work. Will they be able to find a job within that distance? What about the owners? Are they supposed to just open another gas station? And what if this happens to every Lukoil in the state or the country? Nothing like putting people out of work again. This is Wokeness gone mad.
The French for some reason do spell Putin’s name as Poutine. Because otherwise it would never be pronounced correctly I suppose. Which makes the cheese fries thing pretty darn hilarious.
I keep wondering when the woke crowd will go after languages like French that have gender assigned to objects. Who are we to assume all doors identify as female? Or that all cheeses identify as male?
Perhaps Putin now identifies as female, since they have feminized his name.

I don't remember, in any previous war that we've engaged in or not, where we have banned names and items that are somehow connected to the enemy. Did we ban rice when we were in Vietnam? how about anything Middle Eastern?
