Unvaxxed. Just recently caught from my vaxxed daughter. I had cold symptoms for 2 days.

But that was orders of magnitude worse than if you were vaxxed, and you can't prove me wrong, science denier.

Science is falsifiable.

The Science™️ is unfalsifiable.

On top of that, most vaccinated suffer ill effects, including potential disabilities and deaths, following the jabs!

The key here is ScottyG caught it from a Vaxxed person. How many times have we heard that the vax free are spreading it and we are the problem? This is the most outrageous part of the whole narrative for me. 😡

My wife, 2 Pfizer jabs and the booster, got it. Tested positive with a home test and then the next day at a drive-thru test. Mine is negative so far but to be fair, I think I had it a few weeks ago....low grade fever, sore throat, cough. Might have just been a cold. I have had the two Modernas but will NOT be getting a booster. To me, at this point, the risks now outweigh any claimed benefits from the third shot. I feel lucky that that my side effects weren't worse from the first two (the second jab laid me out for two days).

My vaxxed son brought it home around Christmas. Cold symptoms came and went. Nobody died. No one was hospitalized. When will all the Fauci jive end?

Expand full comment

When everyone stops complying.

That's all it will take. No more, no less.

It's *possible* that the narrative is currently dying on its own. I don't want to make that prediction myself, though.

But yeah, barring that, you'll see this forever.

Expand full comment

Non Complying means not just refusing to participate in the mask/test/distancing nonsense but refusing to participate in the endless circular arguments about variants/rates/graphs/charts and the rest of the garbage that people are trapped into debating - which is PART OF THE AGENDA as it legitimizes the fraud. Ignore the whole show.

Expand full comment

Yep, the endless arm wrestling of "cite your sources, science denier.... lol I reject your sources" is irrelevant.

I say no because I have the goddamn right to.

Expand full comment

"Cold symptoms"? How do you know it wasn't just a cold?

Expand full comment

Tested days after my daughter tested positive. Now my wife has tested positive. For all of us, essentially a cold, just like everyone else.

Expand full comment

Yep I was the same just like a cold which lingered for a bit longer than normal.

Expand full comment

Possible, we all had 3 false positives. Either way, won’t lose sleep over it and still feel no need to get vaxxed.

Expand full comment

PCR said OMI, but who can really say that it wasn't just a damned cold. Anyway, over and done with.

Expand full comment

One of those low-false-positive PCR tests no doubt.

Expand full comment

Also unvaxxed. Was ill with Omicron symptoms for about two weeks, just long enough to ruin Christmas. Always negative tests.

Basically convinced I caught something after visiting family who are all either double jab or boosted.

Expand full comment

Better than me. I've had a cold-like symptoms for a week. But then, I've never had a two day cold before, so......

Expand full comment

It was the first time for me…I thought I’d be out for a week. But I bombarded with D, C, zinc, quercetin, and was liberal with albuterol inhaler(I have mild asthma).

Expand full comment

That is good news from a fellow really bad asthma chickie. I do same. Hope the worst is I need prednisone.

Expand full comment

I've been taking D, C, Zinc, Quercetin and NAC for a year and upped the dosages when I started feeling symptoms. It's all been mild throughout but it's definitely taking a week+ to run its course. Started with a couple days of mild chills/ temp around101, then moved into a couple/few days of mild sore throat and dry cough. Then a few days of general stuffiness and loss of taste and smell. If I didn't know, I'd just say it's a cold like colds I've had in the past that always lingered at least a week before being 100% back to normal.

Expand full comment

If instead of having full cold symptoms during a cold, from now on I have the covid symptoms I experienced recently, then I'd consider myself better off. Body aches for a couple of days really wasn't bad at all.

"20 times likelier to die… 17 times likelier to be hospitalized…10 times likelier to be infected..."

This, people and felines, is RELATIVE RISK, which is often deployed disingenuously to freak out the average citizen. It was used to great effect to convince everyone that every living breathing human needs statins. It works because most people are fairly ignorant about math in general and statistics in particular.

While relative risk might have an actual statistical usefulness in certain situations, it is absolutely inappropriate to use in assessing one's own risk/benefit calculation.

Here's a real world example from several weeks ago (numbers approximate due to my memory, but in the right range). "If hospitalized with Covid, the unvaccinated are 4.7 times more likely to die than the vaccinated." The actual statistics being described? If hospitalized unvaccinated, the chance of dying was .033%. If hospitalized vaccinated, the chance of dying was .007%. In other words, if you're in the hospital with Covid, whether you're vaccinated or unvaccinated, the chance of dying is *less than 1/10th of 1%*.

Anyone who is seriously worried about academic and minute differences like that would be much better off investigating lifestyle interventions to improve their overall health, which would make a much bigger impact.

Expand full comment

The difference in risk between, say, a 20-year old and an 80-year old are astronomical so any use of an average from all age groups is a useless number that someone is clearly using to evoke an emotional response.

Expand full comment

How can someone be 10X more likely to be infected with something that everyone will be infected with?

Expand full comment

Simple. The chance of infection for the vaccinated is 100%. The chance of infection for the unvaccinated is 1000%. New math.

Expand full comment

Whenever I hear the term relative risk, or if it's not made explicit, but clear that's what's being related, I know bullshit is being shoveled.

Expand full comment

Thank you for pointing this out. It drives me crazy that people don't understand this. Pre-vaccine 85% of 90 year old didn't even need treatment! About 15% of 90 year olds needed treatment including aspirin, maybe an inhaler, maybe some antibiotics if they had lung involvement. About 8-10% of those required hospitalization and around 5% died. (How they died we may never know...Remdesivir and intubation are questionable at this point.) Average age at death from Covid is older than actuarial expectations. The benefit from the vaccine is a tiny fraction of what they claim...It is near worthless to the average Joe under 65 that's undeniable and may actually be harmful in the long run.

At a very local level a friend of mine (he's 63) is unjabbed, his wife is boosted and the two kids are double jabbed (they're in their mid-20's). They ALL have Omicron but funny enough my friend is not as severe as the other 3 in the family. My brother-in-law (doctor) and his wife (insanely fit BTW) are boosted - they and 3 of the 4 kids (all under 13) got Omicron. So Omicron doesn't care how many times one goes to the gym or if you're a vegan - Omicron is just being Omicron I suppose. Key thing is that none of these folk needed to go to the quack or ER and are all recovering naturally.

The "x" times more likely to die statement regarding the unvaccinated is so disingenuous. It's always worded in a way that makes it seem like your chance of dying increases by being unvaccinated. My chance of dying was always a very small number. Getting vaccinated to make that number smaller (not necessarily a given) at the cost of a wide variety of side effects at an unknown rate of occurrence doesn't seem very smart. Now throw in Omicron that by all bits of early data seems markedly less deadly, getting vaccinated seems even more like a losers bet.

Expand full comment

Yep! If you're 99.7% safe, you're horribly at-risk! If you're 99.95% safe, though, you're ACTUALLY safe.

Expand full comment

Actually it is true: the unvaccinated are ‘x’ times more likely to die because they mostly have average age 80, 95% have one or more comorbidities, 75% have four comorbidities. And even without CoVid they are ‘x’ times more likely to die.

Their parlous medical condition makes them unsuitable candidates for any vaccination.

It is why in Court witness swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, because there can still be a lie in just the truth.

Once you have the whole truth about the status of those in critical care or dying, the picture becomes clearer. Healthy, fit, young unvaccinated people do not end up in critical care suffering from CoVid.

So we know omicron is significantly more mild. And that it’s taken over in the north east states.

So death rates should be in decline.

I wonder if the death counts rising are vaxx injuries where the patient happens to have covid positive test. Too bad we don’t have a break down of death with or from covid. It would be telling if a large number of death were with covid and vaxxed and a newly found heart condition.

Why are they continuing to say “ it’s the unvaxxed in the hospitals. Get vaxxed. All ICU beds are taken.” This is our local news and local county health officer. Illinois is now running ads about the vax hesitant who wish they’d gotten jabbed. So tired of the fear porn. Thank you for tracking the data and explaining it so clearly.

Through this whole thing, I keep thinking about The Simpsons Tree House of Horrors from years ago.

One of the horrors was when the family was driving down "The Miracle Mile" where all the strip malls and retail chains were. Suddenly lightning hits one of the statues, the Lard Lad donut man, and he comes to life.

Eventually the rest of these creatures of advertising do the same, chasing and tormenting all who were near.

Lisa (the little social justice warrior), starts singing a song about "Just Don't Look", and eventually all the monsters die because no one is paying attention. It's supposed to be an indictment on commercialism, but I feel it applies to this trainwreck of a public health crisis.

I guarantee you, if someone pulled the giant plug on technology, or suddenly the media all pivot to space creatures, Covid would be forgotten in 2 seconds.

Here's the Simpsons clip

The MSM is avoiding reporting the experiences of those unvaxed who get omicron unless of course, they end up in the hospital.

I'm 61 and I had covid over the weekend (couple of nights with a fever and a headache). I decided I to let my elderly parents know I had had covid; I did not want to worry them initially. I first spoke with my father who asked how it was and told me that my uncle was in the hospital on oxygen. He commented that my uncle was not vaccinated but I explained that I knew he had in fact been vaccinated. I had visited the family for a funeral in July of last year and had spoken with my uncle about vaccines - I was unvaccinated and I refused to enter the funeral home where there were a large number of mask less vaccinated individuals. I had read enough by then to understand that the vaccinated might pose a risk, especially before being fully vaccinated. My uncle told me he had been vaccinated, my father does not talk to him, so he would never have known.

I next spoke with my mother and her reaction floored me. Her first reaction was to ask me if I had now gotten vaccinated. I explained to her how mild it had been and she immediately shut me off and started talking about how it affects everyone differently. And then mentioned my "unvaccinated" uncle. I know my mother watches only the local television news and CBS, NBC, and ABC yet I had stupidly assumed she might actually listen to her son with firsthand knowledge. When I visited in July, nearly all of the family was vaxed and no one was wearing masks indoors. I had been following the news closely around the world, especially in Israel, and had seen the number of breakthrough infections rising dramatically and knew the US was next. So I stayed on the porch of the funeral home. My mother would point me out to relatives; I believe she told them I was unvaccinated and that's why I did not want to come inside. Once at the cemetery, I was a pole bearer; I was not concerned about outdoor transmission. Less than two weeks later, the CDC began to recommend that even the vaccinated return to using masks, etc. Obviously she did not listen to me back then but I guess I had hoped she would start to change her opinion.

This is going to be a long battle to change minds.
