zero carbon and zero covid are the same grift

boriquagato.substack.com

the covid grift and the climate grift have an astonishing amount in common. it’s why it’s so easy to pivot from one to the other.

they both use hallucinatory models of imminent catastrophe that fail to conform to reality to generate scare stories and emergencies as a pretext for collectivist and globalist action and mandate.

they both make outlandish demands to change lives and lifestyles but only in VERY specific ways.

they focus entirely on that which necessitates control and submission and exclude with utter vehemence anything that actually works.

they are not about solving problems and never were.

they were everywhere and always about just one thing:

“accumulating power in the form of unaccountable socio/political authority and rent seeking wealth for the cronies that backstop it.”

and it’s the exact same playbook. hell, half the plays the covidians ran were drawn up by the climate crowd 20 years ago. it was a full blown carbon copy. (sorry)

you may not doubt the covid numbers or adulterated data and definitions. you cannot rely on natural immunity or vitamin d or early treatment with cheap, widely available drugs already in use. there is no money in that. you must mask. you must obey and stay home and lose your job. you must accede to vaccines that do not stop spread, cuz crisis.

you cannot be allowed to doubt the idea of extreme warming or data tampering to make it appear so. discussion of adaptation to change instead of seeking to stop it is similarly proscribed. you cannot pursue ideas like nuclear, because they work and there is no money in it for cronies. instead, you must pursue wind and solar, which do not and cannot work as baseline power. you must limit your life and limit your actions, cuz crisis.

any disagreement is “denial.”

then you trot out a whole cavalcade of phony baloney “experts” whose entire careers, salaries, and grant structures depend entirely upon convincing you that there is is a crisis and play off credentials and offices granted by government and transnational agencies whose existence, budgets, and prestige also depend entirely upon convincing you that there is is a crisis.

UN IPCC = WHO

EPA = NIH

NOAA/GISS = CDC

and just like covid, these strictures will apply to you, but not to those who imposed them.

your kid has to mask in school, but the mayor can go visit them unmasked.

you need to drive less, but leo can fly a private jet that burns more fuel than a good sized african town to brazil to accept a climate award.

everyone talks a big game for the cameras, but the truth is that elites care about as much about their own carbon footprints as they care about masking themselves at the superbowl.

and the green grift is shifting back into high gear. this was the centerpiece WEF/davos/UN/globalist plan all along and it touches EVERYTHING.

they are going to make $27 gasoline look like it was putin’s fault. ‘it was the war, not the terrible policies we undertook.” we need to buy oil from venezuela and iran (but not russia) but no, you cannot have a pipeline or a new US oil and gas lease. we’ll run down the strategic reserves to set up yet another crisis.

the script is already written. it will be just like masks.

energy independence = national security = we need solar and wind = massively insecure energy = solar and wind harder!

@sdbaral I can't believe that my mathematical model - that treats human beings as unthinking programmable automatons and every pet project I have concocted as being 100% effective in achieving my goals - ended up telling me that, if not for human nature, my pet projects would have worked!

of course, none of it is true. they make us totally dependent on china who provides basically all the polysilicon for solar and all the rare earths for the magnets in wind turbines. oops.

but hey, at least they also don’t work. at all. instead they destabilize power grids because power cannot be stored at utility scale. it needs to be used right when it is generated. so you’ll need fast spin gas turbines on call all the time to make up shortfalls. (and anyone who says “so let’s just build big batteries” is so ignorant of both the physics and economics of doing so as to raise serious questions about whether they can contribute anything meaningful to discussions.)

and that sort of lands us here:

this is, of course, pretty much true. sure, there’s 20 or 25% of the greenwashed watermelon brigades (green outside, red inside) who buy it but by and large people do not.

and this poses a problem for the AGW gang and their colorful charlatan wagons full of magical energy elixirs because there is real medicine available.

if you truly believe that CO2 is a major climate threat, then there is really only one energy option for you: nuclear. it’s safe, cheap, and incredibly effective. if it had just been invented by silicon valley venture capital companies, it would be the toast of the town and the savior of humanity. but it wasn’t. and this is why they are so desperate to malign and do away with it.

it was sort of jarring the speed at which the media was suddenly focused on “nuclear is too dangerous” the minute germany started pondering keeping its plants open instead of being totally dependent on russian gas.

it’s the same bag of tricks that were in play all covid.

we’re about 5 minutes from “nuclearmectin” being deemed totally unsafe despite widespread use…

the interest data here on “iodine” (treatment to protect thyroid from nuclear fallout) is telling.

clearly, it’s all working. again.

can we please wise up here? just how any times must we trip over the same bike left on the lawn?

and predictably, brave celebrities with large bank accounts are out portraying paying more for energy (and everything) as patriotic and “in service of justice” just as the “zoom class” lauded staying home while the working class struggled.

and predictably, their cherished signals of virtue (and wealth, the two together make a powerful combo) are the focus of government nudge, subsidy, and mandate.

let them eat cake = let them use zoom = let them drive tesla.

(well, maybe not tesla, i think elon is probably a deplorable now for being anti-covid restriction and pro nuclear…)

it’s all the same aristocratic flex.

it’s quite striking the way these limitations and sacrifices always always always fail to fall upon those imposing them, isn’t it?

the truth is a simple one:

building back better is always about YOU eating bugs, not them.

it’s not about saving the world, it’s about entrenching an aristocracy and imbuing it with privileges enshrined in law because your betters know better and and feel not only entitled but duty bound to force it upon you for your own good.

this is a bleak future. but there is another way.

the WIF (worldwide internet felines) have a message:

“in ze future, you vill become ungovernable unt you vill be happy!”

let’s see how they like that…

I remember as a kid when they told us we were all going to freeze to death. And I remember as a young adult being told we were going to either burn to death or be underwater because of ice caps melting. And then I got into a bit of amateur geology and started finding fossils of aquatic and tropical life forms on the border of Canada on the great plains where 4 generations of my family have lived. A place where winter temperatures can easily plummet to minus 30 fahrenheit in the winter. And then I started realizing that we can't grow food where it's super cold all the time. And then I found out that plants need carbon dioxide to live and that a world without "carbon" would be horrific (has anyone taken a peek at Mars? Mars doesn't have much CO2) And it dawned on me... Climate has always been changing. I'm not buying any of their crap. Their "climate" agenda makes "Covid" look like a vacation by comparison.

As soon as something is sloganized and heavily promoted in bios with pronouns my brain immediately stops listening because I know it's a scam. Rona lockdowns were a pretext for normalizing carbon lockdowns, just wait for the friendly slogans.
