"Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity."

- Yeats

I'm not "spiritual" by nature...but I do think ordinary people are no longer paying heed to the old social and political leaders. It seems there's an awakening where many are listeneing to new movement leaders instead.

Seems like we're getting close to an "uprising"....but normal people don't seem to know where to direct these "emotions"

Perhaps we're "put" here to help?

We ordinary people need to remind everyone we encounter anywhere during any discussion of anything to *listen to your instincts and if you let them go to sleep then wake them the fuck up.*

The most idiotic things I did, listening to my instincts, they all turned out right in the end. Every single time.

Yup. Nailed it. Takes conviction tho....which this country is def lacking these days

Expand full comment

Not conviction. Common sense. Just because our whiskers are all contained in our heads and not visible on the outside don't mean we ain't got 'em.

All this full-body deodorant age we're in, it's to undercut all the primal signals we need to smell out the sick and the lying. So to speak, more or less, etc.

Conviction, common sense, and I would add intestinal fortitude.

My temperament has always been "you might crush me in the end but I'm gonna go down fighting."

1000% this, SCA!!

Yes. Just so.

The three legs of personnel sovereignty.

Doesn't matter what's put on the "table" without all 3.

Agree. But try to be nice when someone is giving you a compliment!...:]...

As we used to sometimes say back in my whiteboard days, "we are in violent agreement."

Expand full comment

I don't want no compliments. I want extreme precision in language because every word has its own little meaning.

Well like I sad last week:

Good old fashion horsesense is EARNED through the experience of separating hay from horseshit.

That takes conviction. Common sense is neither a birthright or "free".

And realize, please, that not everyone is as articulate and precise with language as you are, including myself.

Expand full comment

I don't criticize by demanding precision. Wrestling the nuance out of words is the way we struggle through to a common understanding. When a particular faction in America is constantly degrading and redefining language to suit propaganda needs, it's more than ever urgent to grab words by the throat and make 'em speak truthfully.

Yes, I agree, every step towards sense must be earned. But I will keep arguing with you here. Common sense is not a function of conviction but of instincts. We can be rock-solid in conviction and be dead wrong.

Expand full comment

Well we disagree just a little. You have to have conviction to follow the truth wherever it leads.

Common sense comes from that quest.

But I hear you...and get it.

Expand full comment

Well, we have to have courage. It's very painful to see something we'd rather not, and then be forced to acknowledge it and act based on a new understanding.

I think it's a matter of realizing you can't live with yourself if you know you have failed to speak up or failed to refuse to do something against your true heart. It's being left with an awful stomachache whichever way you go.

Ryan! Don't we both know the truth? Truth meaning... The system is completely broken and corrupt. The elite have so much money and control, they arw powerful emough to control the definition of "women" in the dictionary. 11 year olds are being given PERMISSION by judges to lop off underdeveloped sex organs. There is no voting our way of of this or sitting and waiting. It's over becuse everyone is and will SIT. Pussies and Trump clones believing the narrative. When and if they/we decide to stand, probably even now, it's WAY TO LATE.

What Trump clones “ believe” the narrative? If anything, I’d say it’s the people that are looking to prolong status quo with the current political clown show. Unless the last 4 years have been financially rewarding, ( Big Pharma, gov. jobs, alphabet invisible agencies, social service executives in Seattle, Portland, & San Francisco, etc.) a vote for Harris would be 4 more years of agony. And I’m not even talking about her voice, laugh, or sentence structures. 🙈 How is Trump worse than this?!

I just don’t see it,.. at all. He is no savior but at least he can help get us back to positive economic footing. Socialism with Harris will cement the elites goals & U.N. Agenda 30 mandates much faster.

Trump supporters aren’t ALL pro- vax. They are the same 1/2 of citizens that supported him in 2016 when Hillary thought she won it all. They SEE through the madness & are willing to fight for a better America. It took courage, at least in the blue- blue states, to admit Trump was the best candidate then. It will take courage, for some, again in 2024. Trump KNOWS the corruption in the D.O.J., because he has lived it now since 2016. And the immigration problem won’t be ignored like the last 4 years.

Biden administration has blamed everything on Trump. It’s a tired excuse for inaction & purposeful corruption, along with the deep state. ( & evil elites) There are fruit- loops on both sides.

I agree that politics can’t solve most of what’s happening but either can attacking 1/2 of our nation’s citizens. Among them are past military heroes, fierce spiritual warriors, and loving & protective parents. Trump “ clones”, love God, family, & love their country. Sign me up!

If you’re mad that Trump hasn’t apologized about the Covid chaos, his actions while President, etc., I haven’t heard the Biden- Harris acknowledgement of wrong-doing either. And they have been in power during the majority of the mandates, bad hospital protocols, & millions of deaths. Fauci regrets masks & lockdowns? Big deal. He made millions from the NIH, & collaborating with Gate’s over the years. Read the “ Real Anthony Fauci” by JFK jr.

Fauci admitting missteps is similar to Zuckerberg’s “ sorry, not sorry,” apologies recently. It’s lies, and more lies.

But this fight isn’t over, not by far. America has a history of overcoming & we will. And in the end, God will get the final revenge. Rebuke Satan daily, in Jesus’ name, including here on Substack. This spiritual war is real.

Love & pray for your enemies, it’s not easy, but they will hate it. 😉 Protect your soul with His word & His love. God’s not afraid, either am I.

This is NOT over. Wishful thinking by the evil?

Maybe. Question everything.

“There is no voting our way of of this”

You may well be right, but we owe it to our ancestors, ourselves, our children, and the people who fought for this country to get off our asses and at least try……

Once having been a word interpreter I can relate to the value of being as certain as possible as to their true meaning. I came to know firsthand what “lost in translation means” 😩 but that’s another somewhat embarrassing story. However, one must not get so involved in the nuances of meaning that one neglects to act at all (except to perhaps raise the local room temperature) and suffer those regrets SCA points out.

In short (which I can never be apparently), “lead, follow or get out of the way.” To cleverly paraphrase😏, “Put on the full ghillie suit of vengeance )or whatever motivates you) and make their heads explode figuratively speaking of course.”

Agree. All the more vital to prevail. Since strong in my faith, I know good destroys evil. (Even in End Times.) In my opinion, we are not there, but the testing is fierce. Which means we are over the target…

More of “the best” need to gain conviction. That might only happen at the height of the Turning. I must admit, though I am certainly not the best of us, I am increasingly willing to lost it all for this cause.
