We love cats, all of them irrespective of color, pattern, temperament, or place of origin. Sadly though, our daughter's newest rescue died in her arms this past Saturday of FIP. It just tore through him and there was nothing that worked to help him. RIP, Sampson. We're all still in shock.
Thank you, Lyn. We had never heard of Feline Infectious Perotinitis before. It's a corona virus that attacks cats viciously. There are no treatments and no cures. Sampson showed up on Tammy's porch 4 months ago and never left.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I've lost a cat to FIP myself. He went into remission and was able to survive for 5 years after he was diagnosed, but it's incurable. The vet told me he probably got it from his mother.
Thanks for the laughs this morning. It was a good mental cleanser after listening to some guy at an office party last night spout off about masking and how with more vaccines we'd probably reach, AND I QUOTE, "herd mentality". You're already there, buddy, sorry to say!
