So it wasn’t a big stretch when I got my dog 15 years ago (this Christmas) to go the holistic veterinary care route for her as well. I don’t feed her commercial food and she only takes herbs. Supplements and CBD oils for her old age conditions now! No pharmaceuticals!
I don’t know to whom you are referring to as “Keren in your post. To clarify, what she gets are not just ‘herbs’, they are herbal tinctures for arthritis & muscular skeletal issues, and an adrenal condition, Cushings, as well as a specialized veterinary formula of CBD oil for animals. She is under the care of an integrative health veterinarian who I have actively participated with in my dogs health care. I have an extensive background herbal medicine, and flower essence therapy, and have used these ‘therapies’ on her since she was young. The Pharmaceuticals alone that are regularly prescribed for animals with Cushings, though they may ameliorate the symptoms in the short term, in the long term, they will kill the dog within a year. I am going on nearly two years of natural & holistic treatments for the Cushings, and her health remains steady and not declining. I do my research, and I know how to take care of animals in a natural and holistic manner.
And I do not believe in a reliance on Pharmaceuticals as a pathway to good health either in people or animals.

Only takes herbs? Wow! We have this joke in the family, "if Keren was big, she would eat us in our sleep!"
