For me personally it was Bill Clintons affair with Monica that got me paying attention, prior to that I held the Office of the President in high regard-not so much anymore.

This is what I'm worried about. Either they're stunningly inept and choking on arrogance, or they think they're winning for reasons I don't clearly see, and just don't care what I or anyone else thinks.
I'm having a hard time seeing any wins they've chalked up over the last year. To me it looks more like they're floundering around desperately reaching for anything no matter how crazy or evil that will allow them to hold onto power, and making the situation worse for themselves with every bad decision they make.
There is a limit to evil. Its bag of tricks is boring and tedious. More to the point, the very deadly things that drive evil within its master perpetrators (pride, lust, envy, anger, greed) will eventually force them to turn on each other. They have a shared enemy (faith, family, love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, self-control) and the hatred of that shared enemy creates a sense of cohesion within their small ranks, but their strong driving interior forces (coupled with the power of the sincere prayers of many) cannot help but divide and conquer. In the meantime, the fury can be intense. Darkest just before dawn.
Well, that's what I thought about Trudeau and the truckers, but then they faced punishment and he skated right through it. My observation is not at all that they "won" anything at all because I agree they seem to lose on every front, but more that they keep on Energizer Bunnying their way through it without shame. It makes me feel like they have cards hidden up their sleeve that I undoubtedly will not like to see played.

I see a lot of people online are certain we're getting a "red wave" in the midterm elections and the Democrats will all be voted out of office. The Dems are very good at manipulating voters and most of their base is uninformed and has the memory of a goldfish, so I'm not so sure that's going to happen.
Even if it does, I don't think that's going to solve all our problems. This is an issue we are not going to be able to vote our way out of.

Beyond chilling. I could literally feel the hairs on my arms start to rise and stand up while reading this excerpt from his speech. I would say it's evil, but I don't even think that word fully describes the darkness of his words.
The politicians currently in power are evil, but thankfully also stupid. If they were going to name it the "Disinformation Governance Board" they might as well have gone all the way and named it the "Ministry of Truth" and been done with it. Maybe they haven't read Orwell and didn't know that was an option. A smart, evil administration would have named it "The Committee to Plan the Summer Picnic" and carried on with their plans without highlighting it for the rest of us. Look for that to be their next step.

The contempt the government has shown to parents at school boards across the country needs to be addressed. After all, isn't that where we are constantly told to focus our politics? If we can't do jack about school boards, we are in deep doo doo.
