Brumby's thoughts are also mine. Always been apolitical, was getting ready for my retirement, finally after decades we were financially stable...and then came 2020....ravaged our businesses, told us we were scum if we didn't get vaccinated (we didn't) and everyone here knows the rest. We all lived it. Now I write on Substack....strange days indeed.

Same.

I never even thought about politics until 16'.

I used to be considered a moderate...now I'm a FAR-FAR-FAR RIGHT ELECTION DENYING ANTI-THIS-N-THAT DOMESTIC TERRORISTS ULTRA NAZI conspiRACIST!

Funny how my position haven't changed, but the label has.

But, alas, i think that's what the "serf" revolt is all about.

I was actually a *gasp* fairly liberal Democrat.

Then I heard a radio interview with the author of the book Freakonomics about gun control and related stats.

Now I'm a horrible right-winger.

I always say I'm a classic liberal libertarian.

Probably the closest label...but i despise labeling.

I too abhor labeling. I consider myself a conservative libertarian. I have my beliefs but pushing them on others is just not what is appropriate. Hearts are changed when those of us who have experienced the grace of Jesus just reach out in love. It feels good to be an independent thinker.

Yeah. I have a lot of conservative values.

As far as classic liberal what I mean is a 1A absolutist, anti-establishment and anti-war.

Alas...where are those people.

Makes you think they never truly believed in any of it.

There's a few of us running around, but I have to admit that 2020 surprised me by highlighting how few there actually are relative to how many liked to say they were.

The black snails that winter in our dirt cellar always eat the labels off of the jars and bottles.

I've tried making labels from duct-tape, using a permanent marker. No dice, they managed to somehow loosen the tape to get at the glue on the back.

Don't know what the political meaning of that would be, though.

Agree how the loud voices have shifted so far to the left and gives the appearance. Probably 1/3 of the population just goes along to get along with those loud leftist voices, so there is teeth behind the appearance. (When the appearance changes, the teeth will fall out.) Reminds me of Elon’s tweet with the stick figures. I was a Republican party member until the party left me in 2012, though had voted more like an independent on a couple occasions. MAGA is not a Republican party, imo, more a populist anti-establishment movement that fortunately is able to leverage machinery of one of the two major parties. Trump is smart, and knows how to establish leverage to create the conditions for solving problems, bringing people to the table, and making deals. And he is tough, persistent, and resilient. He deploys this all for the benefit of Americans. This is his superpower. The populist voices will not be denied. And the difference with populist movements of ages past: now we have memes.

There can be no negotiation about our right to protect our own bloodstreams from Pfizer and Pfauci.

We need to create nooses for them now. The most important thing we all can do to prevent a recurrence of the mandate nightmare is to publicly advocate hanging everyone who mandated the poison:

https://patrick.net/post/1377537/2022-11-03-everyone-who-imposed-toxxine-mandates

Same here, I don’t blame anyone, coercion came in many different forms not just the gov’t mandate. So when people say we had a choice, a mandate is not a choice and not a choice when you take in the propaganda that it was gonna stop the spread, etc. I get so angry when someone says people had a choice and then say to me “you didn’t take it.”

I am half way through the Rogan interview with Trump. This is the second video interview I have seen of Trump in the last two weeks, the first being the Flagrant YouTube channel interview. I am impressed. Trump is funny, articulate, sharp and spoke on a lot of topics off the cuff, albeit with a lot of weaving. But he is not cognitively declining.

He is the nemesis to dismantle the system and get the job done. I would say he has already started. The transparency is now so obvious what the left is doing it is laughable, and not in a comedic way.

It's not the lack of voters for Trump that I fear. It is cheating with the machines and the phony ballots.

Expand full comment

Here's the new trick in PA. Run the application for an absentee ballot through the sorting machine backwards which prompts a postage missing stamp and then, being read on the wrong side there is no return address. Off to the undeliverable bin.

However, a union worker not knowing the drill, turned my wife's ballot over and saw the return address (as well as correct postage.. un-cancelled) and returned it to the return address.

We received it days before leaving for our vacation so we hand delivered it to the county seat voter services personally.

Now, two months later she has received her ballot and returned it while I have nothing but a denial of my request for another ballot.

For some strange reason our mail sent to voter services 1/2 mile from the post office gets trucked to Pittsburgh 100 miles away to be sorted, then trucked 100 miles back to my local post office to be given to a postal employee to deliver 1/2 mile away.

I wonder how many other absentee ballots died in the no postage bin in Pittsburgh?

If they were for Trump, it would be a lot. People need to vote in person. That is the only way you know your vote at least got there. After that you have no control.

Mail in ballot requested. Get ballot. Deliver in person to the office. Might help. I am one of those waiting to be the one who doesn't fire till I see the whites of their eyes.. meaning, they won't know which way I'm going to jump and thus won't be prepared with fake ballots. That's how Trump won against Hillary. She thought the cheat / steal was solid. They under counted came up short.

Expand full comment

The only problem with waiting is remember how some people were not able to vote because the “machines were malfunctioning.”

I have been receiving adverts while watching video on major online service that state that voting records are now publicly accessible and warning/advising that your friends, family, etc can check if you vote but not your actual selection. has anyone heard this? I am in a battleground state.

I've seen that a bunch too

I don't think their strategy with calling him Hitler and a threat to use the military is trying to win on November 5 anymore. I think they've conceded that. They're going to try to win between November 5 and January 20, by whatever means necessary, and this rhetoric is necessary to support, justify, or instigate whatever action they will take between E-day and Inauguration day.

My thoughts as well...I don't think there is any way they can make it look believable that Kammy/Timmy actually win, so they have abandoned her and are moving on to Plan B.

It's going to be 2000 and the "hanging Chad" debacle on steroids, and after the 2020 "Summer of Love" I admit that I am somewhat concerned about what may be unleashed to stop Trump from actually taking office.

Lead and beans, eh? Water Filters, check. Radiation pills, check. Food stash dehydrated and canned, check. Gasoline for car for short term (a month or so) check. Generator check. Cash out of bank, check (always have to keep some). Junk silver, check! Small amounts of course, nothing major. No ammo and no gun sadly. I think I missed the window on that one. Medications stashed (abx, aspirin, ibu, IVM and Fenbendy, Nitanizoxide ). Seeds and soil, check. Braced for impact, good idea of turmoil coming, check. Passport still good for 2 years, escape if needed? Yup, yup and thinking about that my friends as well. Seriously you may think its over kill but you just never know what might be inching round the corner. WWIII for certain if they can make it happen.

You mention many things that I should have, and some I don't. I envision it this way: be ready for when the police DON'T come, or even when the electricity doesn't work anymore. Most of us, most of the time, take these things for granted, and we shouldn't.

Practical stuff: Latrines, how to dispose of piss (get pine wood chips, pee in bucket spread to soil, makes excellent addition to soil (nitrogen), get nitrogen fixing crops (legumes). Also poop, how will you recycle that without the stink? Earth worms are essential for good soil. So are microbes (the good kinds). Water reclamation, with crops (of course they want to kill crops and probably are with plant viruses spreading and synbio infecting plants AND animals.. well. Its complicated. But yeah, at least TRY to figure it out and get on board with the IDEA of what you might need to do BEFORE it comes. Print things out (won't be internet) buy old books (invaluable when they purge the net as they HAVE been doing a la 1984). Because a total collapse is coming one in which they want you d.e.a.d and GONE OR moved to those 15 minute prison camps where you eat the bugs and never leave your pod... Matrix anyone?

A lot of our esteemed opponents have jumped off the small-d democracy train. It's way worse than it was a decade ago. They don't give a shit about free citizens voting in an election. They want power. We are now witnessing just WHAT they will do when they don't get the right result, and I for one am very concerned. I communicate with a relative who brings up all of the lawfare, as a reason for Trump not to be president. I told him: do you even read what you write? Should not the VOTE be determinative?

Amen. Trump is the embodiment of a middle finger. And I am prepared to thrust it in the establishment's face for the third time.

Same.

What cracks me up is, after 9 years, they STILL can not figure out that voting for Trump is really about voting AGAINST the government, elites, expertocrats and media.

They have no clue what the peasants "middle finger" is all about.

That is the most baffling thing about this. They are utterly clueless about the disdain they've engendered with their mismanagement and corruption. My contempt for our government, and how it squandered the Cold War victory, is beyond comprehension. Trump is my only way to express it.

Weirdly, he is the only peaceful way to address the situation. Will the Deep State accept the olive branch extended by the plebs? I have my doubts. Buckle up, Ryan.

I've told people that love of government and love of country are diabolically opposed...but they don't get what a true patriot is.

They're apopletic and left it disbelief that anyone could not trust the government.

Love of government is conditioning for love of gulags.

Ryan, there's a huge voting demographic that IS government, at all levels from local school districts, cities, counties, state govs and federal. And it's likely precious few that will vote for the candidate that threatens their rather well-paying livelihood and COLA-guaranteed retirement plans. Add to that the number of heavily-invested (and vested) beneficiaries of the wealthy worlds of the military industrial and pharma industries. Then there's big Ag... Add 'em up and you've got a Hell of a lot Harris/Walz votes.

I didn’t think about that, but you are right. I have several friends who work for the government.

The minute a government is created, its first order of business is self-preservation. I don’t mean "preservation of country/people," I mean preservation of whoever is running the show. The ink was barely dry on the constitution ratification documents when tax rebellions broke out all over the new states due to government over reach. Americans were always suspicious and skeptical about anything the government did…STFU and F*ck Off. But they loved their country. How did people lose that skepticism—and when did it start to happen?

I just read recently that America did not at all want a federal government, but it was forced on them and the tax was forced on them as well

Sickening

They didn’t do anything about it then They felt helpless to do anything about it. I guess their lives were ok and they didn’t want to rock the boat

So unfortunately, all of us are suffering now

You are channeling Victor Davis Hanson, a little. I think Trump will win, and then I think I will be disappointed, in that he WON'T do a complete Mongol on the Beltway; some of it will remain standing, and inhabited by unelected Mandarins with political science degrees, who will continue to grift, parasitize and delay.

Thank you. It’s how I begin every discussion regarding the presidential race (or really any current politics). It simultaneously makes clear that it’s not a “cult of personality” or “Trump idolatry”, while concurrently indicating it most certainly is a deep resentment and contempt for the venal charlatans that are currently running the institutions.

Much like El Gato’s brilliant essay, it makes the point that Trump is our political vengeance personified for force feeding us ridiculously premised and dangerously misplaced priorities in governance.
