Try sending him my “Letter to a Scientifically-Minded Friend” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-a-scientifically-minded) as I wrote it specifically for a friend who’s a “believer,” and I used the ivermectin disinformation campaign as a way of exposing the fraudulent narrative. I include *ample* citations from peer-reviewed journals in the footnotes as well. There shouldn’t be a single item in there he could discredit as being from a “right-wing” source.
Thank you, Susan, and isn’t it astonishing that people with all of those qualities in other areas can be so dissociated that they fail to practice them with this narrative?
I miss the old deprogramming techniques like kidnapping the cult member, sequestering them in a hotel room, and slapping them until they recover their sensibilities.
It is also difficult because to realize that you've been lied to and manipulated with deathly consequence is to recognize a level of evil so deep, dark, and shocking that is very hard for good, honest, trusting people to accept. It forever alters your world view of government, health agencies, and the media.
Absolutely. I got the sense that my friend wasn’t ready for that level of darkness, so I focused more on the fraud, greed, and lies. I gave her a copy of my fairy tale (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/the-vapor-the-hot-hat-and-the-witches) as a gift, and she started reading it to herself. By the end, she seemed deflated, and all she could say was, “Dystopian.”

Beautifully written.
It's hard to convince the intelligent, reasonable, rational, and scientifically-minded to NOT trust the (pseudo) science.
