Well, I disagree. Yes, we shouldn't just wash our hands of problems, but it *is* (i.e. existentially) their problems to fix, just like it's up to every generation to try to make the world better, no matter what mess they inherit.
I didn't mean *we* don't help all we can, but it is *our* time and energy that is limited.

I remember when my generation was suppose to save the world. We say that to every generation and It sucks. It isn’t their problem to fix.
