I don't remember all that it protected against. Rabies was one, which is a vaccine I do want. I think West Nile was in there. Maybe it was the four way. My horse was an EPM horse and my new vet said he's seen problems with West Nile and EPM horses. I should be getting her histopathology report anytime. She died about a month later. It all started with a nephropsplenic entrapment which isn't related to vaccines. But I still wonder.
Thanks it was awful. The local clinic I worked with was great. But they thought the university clinic could help her, but I don't think I will ever take an animal there again.
My horse had a newer five way vax and within a week things went wrong, but not in a way you could say it was the vaccine. But I truly have to wonder.
What is the new 5-way? (Still doing the 4-way in my parts)

My horses legs always alarmingly stocked up after combined vaccinations so we started splitting them up which worked better.
I worried with the 4-ways, but both my horses have been ok so far.
Inflammation. It's maddness.
Yes. Her kidneys were angry in a few days. Her necropsy showed they had infarcts. She had other stuff wrong too.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't trust any of the larger hospitals or clinics any more, for my dogs or horses. Arrogance & expensive equipment to pay for.
The woman I dealt with was very arrogant and hard.
