Funny, Elon potentially buying Twitter and making the algorithm open source would effectively be kicking the CIA, FBI and Dept. of Justice out of the equation on that platform. Pretty sure Twitter will fight tooth and nail for the secret sauce of the algo and bots to not be revealed so I doubt Elon will wind up being the owner - but I do hope he tanks the stock price and starts something far better.
I took Bill Gates only 330 million spread out over 20 years to buy up all of media and the fact checkers. He made some 25 billion just in a few months and not a single one criticized him or his heavy investments in vaccine companies. It is amazing how cheap the whole apparatus goes for and then they lose their crap when Musk is willing to spend 130 times that for Twitter.
