The second-best result of election night was the people sending the mainstream media packing. Just think of the millions of manhours that were dedicated to keeping Trump out of the White House.....and they failed miserably.
Absolutely Brilliant idea. imagine Elmer fudd and foghorn. Leghorn. As the two main anchors, daffy and donald duck would be on the scene reporters. And Wiley e coyote and bugs bunny could debate the topics of the day. it would be far better than anything that's ever been produced by the mainstream media. I can just envision Daffy duck at the democratic national convention.Going absolutely batshit Crazy, and not being able to understand a damn thing. He's saying and then fog horn Leghorn Doing his thing, it would be comedy Gold. And the best part would be Bugs bunny doing what he do best.
Seriously, with today's and tomorrow's AI technology, you wouldn't even need to hire any Hollywood staff to do the animation or voice overs. I suggest the classic cartoons interspersed with news breaks. The difficult part will be deciding who will be the anchors. I'm thinkng Sylvester and maybe Daffy Duck, but definitely Foghorn Leghorn for the Editorial Seat.
"Harris outraised her Republican opponent, with groups including the Democratic National Committee and affiliated fundraising vehicles — among them Super Pacs, which can raise unlimited amounts from individuals — attracting more than $2.3bn and spending $1.9bn."
I tend to think that you are correct...but that does not mean that the survivors in the MSM re-shuffle won't give up on the Trump-hate theme. Too much at stake, and a lot of people, particularly in the public sector stand to suffer loss at the hands of a Trump government that literally owns all three branches of the federal government. I don't need to be Nostradamus to predict the fear and loathing in big pharma, big Ag and big defence contractor board rooms when RFK, Jr., Trump, or Elon Musk's names are mentioned. These are the entities that formerly "owned" the federal government ...and the MSM.
Hopefully it won't work so well, because the persuadable audience has been shrinking. Like an insurance pool. Pretty soon only the sickest will remain.
Well, I'll tell ya. I find the endless Bible-thumping on FOX ever so much more endurable than the harpy-shrieking on CNN and MSNBC, both of which I used to watch regularly until the Rittenhouse trial cured me. And I'll bet I'm not the only one of similar temperament who feels so.
Before Steve Bannon's War Room shows clips I would not have been able to pick out most of the people on CNN and MSLSD in a police line up except for Whoopi The Hut. I just did not watch TV much and didn't have one for several decades. Those were the days! CNN was something inflicted on us while waiting for a flight at an airport.
There was a time, long long ago, when Keith Olbermann had not yet gone entirely insane, though the signs were there because Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid were his protegees but not yet seeming insane neither, and CNN had Crossfire and Evans, Novak et al which were really good shows.
That universe is dead, gone, sucked into a black hole and imploded into nothingness.
Karma is a wonderful thing and I don't see advertisers all that eager to keep pouring their money into shrinking audience share. As bad as MSM/cable are, the laughingstock awards go to Reid and Maddow and new managements at the networks have no reason to be loyal to deranged anchors.
I agree, the struggle will continue through the next four years. This is the time for the populist-pro republic team to consolidate the power that comes with the control of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches. This hard-won fight needn't be just a windfall, but a real chance to straighten out the festering, pulsing sore that now populates the District of Columbia.
Ah, come on, give us some time to rejoice. Time later to go all half glass empty. Maybe we are better prepared for it now and way more ahead of them. 😀😀🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸😀👏🏻🤩
locally, 20 years ago, they bought up the BEST FM band (connection) from Gannet, WGMS which was also classical. They tried to make it sound like it would continue to be the best listening but it was not and continues to be shitty. their on air announcers are snooty and condescending. and they are always begging for money, all day begging. I have two little cheapo radios (used to be daddy's) one in each kitty's room tuned to WETA radio as it is now called. Shitty thieves.
Same with WTOP which is now owned by the washington Compost - except their format is all day fake news and alarmism
They have control of a wonderful station up here that plays Blues and Jazz- Blues and Jazz when NPR isn't cranking FT from 6 AM to 7PM. And running other PBS specialty shows in between. So about 10 hours of Blues and Jazz every week...
Why can't we just have Blues and Jazz? Or even just have NPR be only a few hours a day like I remember them being in the 90's? It seems that they have metastasized to crowd out more and more of what people originally went to those stations to listen to.
It did in the 1980's. I worked with wife and my parents late night weekends fixing an old house in northern VT listening to it. Lake Woebegone seemed very similar. Garrison lost it sometime before Trump came along. Then got worse, then he was cancelled. For BS reasons in his defense. It was a clever couplet as I recall.
@Dr. L- my tv is set on their music so when I turn it on it's there. Can't stomach their politics but the music....oh....the mnusic.....Kind of like hating an actor's politics but loving his/her work.
I used to listen to those music programs at night driving back from my home town visits. Sometimes haunting, sometimes keep awake joyful. NPR station from Dekalb, Illinois. NIU.
I kept wondering how long the legacy media could keep losing viewers/readers before they buckled. Turns out they were fine with a slow death, but when a "cat"aclysmic event took place they could no longer avoid seeing the writing on the wall. If I weren't a cat I'm sure I would feel some sympathy. Instead I will push them off the counter just to see them fall.
had to give my husband the lowdown on cat behavior. Never touch the rug if the cat under it. You can't scratch their belly like you do the dog, cats play favorites. Cats do get even with you, (I nearly fell down some stairs, cat dashed between my legs, she was purposeful and angry. My crime yelling at her stop that!) Also shredded the lining of a beautiful coast I had. miss them both.
Yup. I visited my sister and I slept on the bed her cat slept on. I shut the door on the cat. The cat peed in my suitcase when it got the chance. Then on my hat. Yeah. The belly thing. Dangerous trying it on a Maine Coon weighing 23 pounds the neighbor thought was an actual lion in the window. I miss that cat very much.
Have not seen this but thanks for the uplift! Much needed! Guess the American “people” finally found out that 2% of the people are responsible for 98% of our problems. But one has to wonder does this have anything to do with “freak out” gatherings?
The second-best result of election night was the people sending the mainstream media packing. Just think of the millions of manhours that were dedicated to keeping Trump out of the White House.....and they failed miserably.
Egm should buy CNN and call it Cat News Network. I’ll take MSNBC and rebrand it Meme News Network. We are the media now.
YAAAAS
We will make News Great Again!!
More Kittens More Memes
Ain't it amazing? A week already and I continue to feel all glowy.
Just wait until this positivity post drops in a few minutes.......
Come on down!
I am waiting patiently
Wait no longer! :)
I’m smiling more
I am too.... and it is kind of a silly grin, but oh well
Me too😂
Musk could buy them and reformat to cartoons.
Resurrect Wile E. Coyote, Foghorn Leghorn, Donald Duck, Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd et. al., solemnly reporting the news interjected with gag acts.
Now that's entertainment.
Absolutely Brilliant idea. imagine Elmer fudd and foghorn. Leghorn. As the two main anchors, daffy and donald duck would be on the scene reporters. We could also play reruns of Monty Python since that all turned out to be real in the end...
And then do our own version of SNL where it would be truly funny because we can tap all the untouched content out there just waiting for satire
Seriously, with today's and tomorrow's AI technology, you wouldn't even need to hire any Hollywood staff to do the animation or voice overs. I suggest the classic cartoons interspersed with news breaks. The difficult part will be deciding who will be the anchors. Sylvester! For sure...
How much better would it be than this?
https://x.com/i/status/1856733808550354950
And roughly $1B was donated to the Harris campaign...
@Ludwig- and it's STILL $20mil in the hole!
Is it really?
Sure is. I think there should be a public accounting. Some of the entertainment hired for the rallies are afraid they won't be paid.
When these celebs claim they didn't get paid by the Harris campaign they are telling the truth. They haven't been paid YET.
YET. But you'd think if they reallyhad supported jher they'd have donated their time and 'talent'.
"Harris outraised her Republican opponent, with groups including the Democratic National Committee and affiliated fundraising vehicles — among them Super Pacs, which can raise unlimited amounts from individuals — attracting more than $2.3bn and spending $1.9bn."

Hillary had a ton of money as well and still lost.
Money can't buy you love.
And Trump had 4 guys and the internet.
Revolutionary.
CNNemas have been delivered
Don't forget, the first Trump administration saw legacy media reaping a windfall. It was in their cynical best interest to keep people panicked.
Yep, but that won't work this time around.
Oh, they'll certainly try, no doubt about that.
But the people won't fall for it again, and increasingly the presstitutes will be seen for what they are.
There will always be a demographic that falls for it, it fact is addicted to it, but that demographic is shrinking.
Yep. The snowball is only rolling one direction.
The printed paper prostitutes are already at it. A shameful bunch .
Hopefully it won't work so well, because the persuadable audience has been shrinking. Like an insurance pool. Pretty soon only the sickest will remain.
So
Much
WINNING!!!!
@UC- How did you manage to go unvaxxed??
I own my own biz and dealt with it. Not being able to travel was the biggest drag. There was the freedom convoy highlight , that was a BLAST
I watched all you guys rally round and thought it was phenomenal!!
I’m an un jabbed Canadian as well. There’s approximately 10 million of us
@UC- I live just over the border (Niagara Falls area) but haven't been to your country since it all began.
Come for the poutine! Stay for the maple syrup 😂
@Michelle- I have lived her for 45 years and have NEVER had Poutine!!!!! I need to try it!!!!
Sad here really ....
This is exhilarating.

That universe is dead, gone, sucked into a black hole and imploded into nothingness.
Now I would not be surprised if Joyless Reid or Rachel Madcow burst a blood vessel in their brains on TV.
Karma is a wonderful thing and I don't see advertisers all that eager to keep pouring their money into shrinking audience share. As bad as MSM/cable are, the laughingstock awards go to Reid and Maddow and new managements at the networks have no reason to be loyal to deranged anchors.
I agree.
Pat Buchanan - almost inconceivable today.
Pat Buchanan was another one of those guys who seem rational for the first five minutes.
I hate to be the pessimist at the party, but these fuckers (whole swamp, not just the media) aren't going to just go away.
yes, they just got punched in the nose, but once their eyes stop watering, they will try to come back with a vengeance.
The mRNA swamp in particular.

Don't you mean "turd in the punchbowl"? The Left has always been stronger as the opposition than in the leadership position.
This won't be the last. Just recently The Tonight Show got reduced to four nights per week.
Only 4 more cancelled nights to go
😂
Wow 🥳
😳
"Can we watch the Tonight Show?"
"Not tonight."
Good!
This entire past week has been SWEET!
Failing to motivate the laser jet printers to spit out 7 million ballots for Harris has consequences.
No one wants to talk about the 7 million votes that summed to 81 million!
An election that can’t be audited is not an election - we shouldn’t let ourselves get punked in an election.
Very true.
Is this a dream come true?? Even if it’s a moment of schadenfreude, it’s still worth the smile!
Schadenfreudelicious, you mean.
Don't forget schadenfreude-listic!!
I spent years being part of NPR and loved it.
These days I'm very disappointed in all MSM. All the honesty seems gone and is replaced the need for ratings gotten by table flipping antics.
Freedom of the press apparently includes freedom to self-destruct.
I used to love NPR. Now I cannot hear it even for a minute without feeling nauseous revulsion at their smarmy Pfizer-pfellating propaganda.
Naive question: Isn't NPR supposed to be publicly funded? Why would they run Pfizer commercials?
NPR is very much like the NY Times in the last decade. Just a propaganda outlet for the CIA and the corporations behind the CIA.
You’ve got that right. Interesting to watch liberals think that’s the real go to place for truth. 🤣🤣🤣
Same.
I was thinking about NPR the other day.
I loved the music
locally, 20 years ago, they bought up the BEST FM band (connection) from Gannet, WGMS which was also classical. Lake Wobegone had a certain amount of charm.
I liked Car Talks on Saturday mornings with click and Clack the Tappit Brothers.
my favorite.
and in the very beginning Diane Rheam was delightful until she got edgy
It did in the 1980's. I worked with wife and my parents late night weekends fixing an old house in northern VT listening to it. Lake Woebegone seemed very similar. Garrison lost it sometime before Trump came along. Then got worse, then he was cancelled. For BS reasons in his defense. It was a clever couplet as I recall.
We enjoyed that.
Yes, but it was just a Liberal Utopia that never could exist. Their version of Norman Rockwell America.
@Dr. L- my tv is set on their music so when I turn it on it's there. Can't stomach their politics but the music....oh....the mnusic.....Kind of like hating an actor's politics but loving his/her work.

I would love to see Anderson Cooper looking for a new job, 20million he gets?! UN freakin believable!!
Yes, 20 Mill to tell lies to “his” listening audiance. Blood money for a person with no soul.
Even $1 for each viewer (averaged over the quarter) would be too much.
I think this 65 year old would enjoy kittengarten with Gatito Bueno. Is there an age limitation for enrollment?
😎🐺😎
Hmmmm... karma works!
Not in a vindictive sense. The fruit has ripened and it is time for it to fall and rot.
I kept wondering how long the legacy media could keep losing viewers/readers before they buckled. If I weren't a cat I'm sure I would feel some sympathy. Instead I will push them off the counter just to see them fall.
Well stated! 😂
It's like playing with your food after you catch it - good clean fun!
No more hiding under a throw rug and thinking they are invisible. 😼

Yes, LMAO indeed!
