Glad I opted out of the "Health Sciences" as both a professional and as a patient quite awhile back. Haven't missed any of it

Read "The Lives of a Cell" by Lewis Thomas (1971). He addresses the vocabulary change from 'medical' to 'health' as the misnomer it has become. Refer to my doctor now, not as health care provider, but illness consultant.

Interesting.....Rockefeller medicine no longer identifies with "providing health care", but they have transed into being "(chronic) Illness Consultants"........more "authentic"

Or: 'illness manager' / 'disease manager'

And 'health care worker' / 'health care professional' are mis-nomers...
