This is the first post and comments that I don’t understand because I don’t follow Pop Culture anymore. I am still stuck on the original Twilight Zone episode of the “Monsters On Maple Street” as my metaphor for our current dysfunctional society.

I remember watching the original over and over. Reading books and blogs about it. It was groundbreaking for me. It tied up so many of the sentiments I felt at 16. Now the reboot is sort of the antithesis to the original. Created in a society were we are literally always plugged in. Agents everywhere. Like Neo and Morpheus, we are injected with strange technology. Ratholed away in the dark attempting to fight against an army of machines except they are flesh and blood.
Red Party: Useless pawns in the controlled opposition. Not a single member of the red party called out PINO Binden yesterday. Vote in your red party primaries and hold accountable those who go along to get along. Get them on record.
I have an idea for a new movie. A cross between the life of brian, Idiocracy, the matrix, and world war z. It's called "fauci, the funniest horror film ever made, starring woody allen as fauci".
I have seen some who recognize the pandemic response for what it is, wish they could bluepill themselves and be reinserted into the system. For a decades-old film, it seems to be aging really well in what it seeks to raise.
I'm not that hopeful that 4 will have much to offer. :(

You know, I know this pandemic doesn't exist. I know that when I get jabbed it in my arm, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is safe and effective. After nine years, you know what I realize?
actually those codones were the best pain relief AND mood stabilizers with little side effects. just like any medication or drug, i need to exercise a little self-control. now beta-blockers are prescribed for pain, and if you have suicidal reactions to these mood enhancers, well, thats how we know it is working...
