Traditional Masculinity stormed the beaches at Normandy. Saved the free world, which is now flirting with the very authoritarianism they fought and died fighting. Lord have mercy.

I'm sorry but, no. My mother and father were there. My mother in Germany and my father fleeing the NAZI’s and the Red Army. Holocaust revisionism is foul beyond words. Hitler was a monster of monumental proportions. While his minions did carry out medical experiments on unwilling prisoners (that are the genesis of the Nuremberg Codes that Biden is eviscerating), they never tried doing it to everyone.
To be fair, du to typhus outbreaks in the camps, inmates were used as test subjects for vaccines developed in denmark (and possibly other places). There were deaths, though the data is sketchy. These particular vaccines were a failure.

I'd like to amend my previous comment on another article.
The American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and the American Psychological Association are all clown shows.
And I'm a big fan of traditional masculinity. Someone has to take out the trash, mow the lawn, move heavy stuff, open pickle jars, remove large hairy spiders...and other such manly endeavors.
Add the American college of obgyns to that list. Pretty much all medical associations are merely lobby groups to maximize profits at the expense of human health.
I am a woman who does all those things and more...I'm happy with both my masculine and feminine qualities...and I find this APA "official label" to be utterly stupid. It's a spectrum. Just be whoever you are. (Except bullies and rapists need to be held to account - preferably by real, honorable men.)
You just have to use female persuasion - that is, a quick smack to the bottom of the jar first. Never fails. That’s a super secret of the XX - don’t share.
My favorite way to open a tight jar is to slip a “church key” (old fashioned pointed tipped bottle opener) under the lip of the jar and lift gently. Pop! Off comes the top like a hot knife through butter. Meltingly easy.
Fortunately "traditionally masculine" men (at least the ones I know) are the least likely demographic to go quietly along with any sort of reeducation or extermination.
Well, I for one (as a women) quite enjoy toxic masculinity when it is mowing my lawn, lifting heavy boxes and frankly just walking with me at night after dark.
I'll be sure to tell the pest control guys who killed the bed bug infestation in my apartment complex that they aren't manly when they return on Friday to do some more pest control.
I see. So you claim my response is disingenuous because I turned it on its head are bed bugs are a helluva lot smaller than spiders and since you wouldn't want to deal with bed bugs and can't admit you'd make an exception for them in your holier-than-thou code, then I'm "disingenuous". Right.
Then you insult what you think is my financial status by assuming my dealing with bed bugs means I live in a homeless shelter. You're obviously new here which is why you're acting like a presumptuous jackass. If you weren't you'd know, like many of the regular posters here, that I'm the full-time caregiver for my elderly and disabled mother and we live in a community of elderly and disabled people.
I expect you'll give another dickish response to this so bring it on. I've just started my monthly cramps so I'm in the mood to release some anger right now.
Have you noticed how >50% of all the spokeweenies in this pandemic the world over are women? It seems striking that the panic sticken, the pocket dictators and administrative bullies appear to be mostly women, some (perhaps many) are in obvious panic mode.
And they are a certain type of woman. They don’t speak for all women in my view, nor even a majority.
These coastal elites are very removed from nature and from what is natural. They are infected with a virus called “progressivism” that is far more dangerous to us than Covid. It distorts their perception of reality and impairs their critical thinking. And there is no ready cure or vaccine.
From one libertarian to another: I wouldn't be so flippant about kids stuffing other kids into lockers. School bullying is a product of the authoritarian school system, which in turn is a product of disrespect for youth rights. Should we be surprised that the general population is so submissive to arbitrary authority after most of them were subjected to adult tyranny during the first two decades of life? Please consider the cause of youth rights:
To be charitable to the APA, I think they probably mean to say that *toxic* masculinity—which is really a thing, in my opinion—is harmful. If that's what they actually mean, they're right, but it's bad messaging to call it "traditional" masculinity.
"The Fonz" theory worked well in my experience. I was a mild mannered intellectual guy, but athletic. I was also taller than my cohort and seemed to be the object of constant taunting, abuse and outright physical attacks by groups.
It ended one day, after I was physically roughed up by 3 boys. I ran one down, and did him serious physical damage.
That was the very last time, EVER, that I experienced bullying. In retrospect, I should have gotten my hands dirty much earlier.
This is how it has always worked in the schoolyard, for better or worse.
That is how it works in authoritarian schools. It's not how it works in freedom-loving schools such as Summerhill, Sudbury Valley, or Abrome. Those institutions demonstrate empirically that persistent bullying is a preventable problem.
Given that fact, I feel a little sorry for you. I see you as having been drafted into fighting an unjust, unnecessary war and then, in a kind of Stockholm syndrome, failing to properly resent it. We can do better than that. Let's burn our metaphorical draft cards by embracing youth rights and self-directed education.
This might be wholly irrelevant unless average life outcomes are improved and can be demonstrated as such.
It may be true and I would hope it is, but I can't say I can be bothered to research it (my kids are 17 & 30 and it's irrelevant now). It's not at all clear that the problem definition to which you refer is rigorous and that letting kids sort it out amongst themselves doesn't result, on average, in individuals better able to deal with the harsh reality of adulthood.
But hey, I hail from the other side of the tracks where we say, "take a concrete pill and harden up".
It is likely that I am quite a number of decades older than you are.
I predate the overtaking of the education system and curriculum by females and the pseudo-intellectuals who think Rousseau was a great guy and had a clue.

Between the two of us, Conrad, who is more secure in his male identity? I should think it's the one who *doesn't* react defensively to the concept of toxic masculinity.
Yes. I was a victim of bullying by the mean girls clique in high school cause I was the nerd. That’s toxic bullying. But a traditional male masculinity model has nothing to do with bullying. The concepts of a ‘manly man’ and toxic masculinity aren’t to be mixed but that’s what they’re doing.
Traditional masculinity officially labeled "harmful" by the American Psychological Association - and with that one decision the American Psychological Society fully exposes its field of expertise for the political quackery that it is.
Traditional masculinity is a very broad thing; are we talking cross-cultural patriarchy stuff or just western christian influenced masculinity? It may be cause lot of hand wringing in your local safespace, but youre going to need it if you want to build a bridge, call the police, get your plumbing fixed, or remain a sovereign nation. Probably add eat food to that list, too.
This article from a bunch of pussy drs and therapists. You cannot extract masculinity from society, the will be no balance. Men are born to conquer their world. How it should be.
Clint Eastwood's new movie "Cry Macho" is incredible. Without spoiling it too much I hope, I started to notice a surprising array of types of machismo at work in the film, which is now my favorite of his. It's on HBO max.
Now, when we are trying to figure out which model of traditional masculinity they are now officially pathologizing, should we be thinking Ralph Kramden, Ward Cleaver, Richie Cunningham or Arthur Fonzarelli? Han Solo was my role model when I was 9, and then, naturally Indiana Jones (from the first movie) was great. On the other hand, I also thought George Bailey was a admirable man, but he wasn't much like Han Solo or Indiana Jones at all. Maybe this should come with some suggested dos be like X and don't be Y like when trying to decide how one best can avoid traditional masculinity. (and yes, I know these characters are all white … isn't that implied in the concept itself?)
Getting ones head stuffed into toilets and having your underwear pulled over your head are all good things. My women friends also made me into a strong woman because they were relentless with being mean at times. I am grateful to them!
The American Psychological Association is in dire need of psychological counseling. I wonder if any of their members are traditionally masculine. If so, they need to be dismissed as harmful men and a potential menace to society.

Glad I learned Mandarin in college and did so a few years before the wokeness took hold. My wife just went back to perform (had to sneak in before the Vaxx checkers assumed their post) and her former teacher said faculty have suggested getting rid of all the pianos and suppressing Beethoven. Anyway, if you learn Chinese, make sure to learn about their history and classical Chinese. They highly revere people who know those things, even if they dont.
I love all history, especially that I don't know, so that's not a problem. Being too old to learn a new language probably is. And just as the world learned English to trade with the preeminent superpowers (England, then us) knowing the language of your trading partners is a benefit, and since we are surrendering our supremacy, it is only wise to be prepared.
What? You are NEVER too old to learn a new language. It may go more slowly. I learned most of my Spanish after age 65, and am still picking up a lot from my students 10 years later. Many of my adult ESL students have been over 50. I have had more than a few older students convinced they were too old to learn English. And sure enough, they didn't. I think most of the limitation is in people's heads.
If you're that determined to be a good subject to your conquerors, don't bother learning languages. A good slave doesn't speak, anyway. Just roll over and show your belly.
Further China is currently banning media depicting effeminate men, while our joint chiefs are promoting transgenderism and fighting “white rage.” They deserve to win.

Flirting? It has accelerated past it. Hitler never tried to force everyone to take an experimental drug that has already failed.

I guess you would expect this from the group that says men can become women.
Absolutely disgusting. The worlds need more men. Too many males (including Jenner) and not enough men
Sounds like another perfect excuse they'll use to put people into re-education camps.
