The response I got the second time--I reported my first AE from the prior year to VAERS on my own without consulting anyone, and am glad I did--was "that's not an AE, it happens so often, take an NSAID and wait it out". And here I was taking the attitude toward AEs I'd been told to have for reporting drug AEs--always report even if it's a known side effect!
