Without getting into an argument about the existence of viruses (that is another super interesting issue)... my point is that we have always been aware of these issues... then we make decisions about whether we get out or how close we get to other people. My point is... why does it have to be different with covid? My other point is that Typhoid Mary was a completely different matter: a bacterial disease, she was a chronic carrier, and she was spreading it to others because her job was handling food. We certainly do not need to be afraid that we are "walking Thyphoid Marys". Be well.
