You know something is pseudoscience when you have to use the social sciences to justify conclusions that are a result of a belief system.

It's all a scam just like our government.

I checked her bio. This "Dr. Saffron" got a grant in 2022 for $6.25M, total grants of about $7M, and she sells an encyclopedia of climate change for $650 (no doubt her students are required to buy it for her class). This is in addition to her salary and consulting fees. If only I had gotten my Ph.D. in fake climate science instead of REAL science, I would be rolling in the dough by now. How could I have been so blind!

"Global Warming" emerged as a far left globalist tool in 1972 at the UN conference on the environment. It was hawked as a way to get the public to give government control of land use in order to stop the dire consequences of global warming, that otherwise it would never agree to.Thus, Save the Planet! has become the battle cry, and the increasingly dumbed down public, much like the Germans of the 1930s, falls willingly in step. In the process, as with all fascism, the corporate grifters quickly saw huge money to be made, exploiting peoples desire to "save Thumper and Bambi". How many billions of taxpayer dollars have gone to "sustainable" schemes that raked in the cash and then declared bankruptcy? The narrative is constantly being adjusted as the lies are exposed - prime example, now climate change instead of global warming - but the goal is always government control over the ultimate means of production: land use.

The jury's still out regarding the primary goal of these monsters of mendacity. Is it money or is it power? But the two are really inseparable, aren't they?

I think you have a point, as progressives have abandoned beliefs in god and country, they fill their desperate need for meaning with the claptrap of pseudo science schemes like climate change. They are almost all uneducated. Oh, they may have an indoctrinated education but they are ignorant of the real scientific method. They are as Stalin once said, "useful idiots ".

And in the defense of the humanities, arts and social sciences I can only say that they aren't for justifying anything: they are for studying, analysing, understanding and testing (if possible) the whats, hows and whys of human interaction, being and society.

In essence, the social sciences are supposed to be a more clinical and scientific method-based approach to the age-old "Gnothi Seauton" of the Oracle; not an ideological or faith-based blueprint for any kind of Eutopia.

But: there's very little market for that. Just as in the days of the Sybil, people want to buy affirmation and confirmation, not insight, self-relevatory experiences or any kind of meta-cognitive understanding of themselves.

And academics in social sciences like to eat too.

Plus, natural scientists have proven time and again that left to their own devices they plow ahead according to the principles of "Let's see what happens", "Let's see how far it can be pushed" and "It's wonderful science anyway, it's not like it's my fault that X happened".

One of the duties of social sciences and pals was to be a watchdog, working in concert with natural scientists to prevent repeats of their long history of vivisection, testing various stuff on humans, and so on.

Sadly, social science went from telling natural scientists "Stop!" when they were dripping corrosive substances into the eyes of animals, to saying "Inject!" when natural scientists wanted to use their new cool mRNA-technology.

I would like to, metaphorically and literally, use one to smack the other.

very well said. some of what you mention with the social sciences is exactly what I was going for.

It is a pseudoscience to use the "soft" sciences (which many theories in social science border on pseudoscience or oblique ways to justify their own existence) to justify a position that is, in and of itself, justified by untested data in order to give cover to a belief system masquerading as a position arrived at by the scientific method.

That's an interesting comment. in view of my much expressed concern that the constant barrage of climate change propaganda hides the real problem. That is that THERE IS CLIMATE MANIPULATION. Look to see if your state has a Climate Modification Board or Committee. NM does. AZ does. There really are extreme climate events that are not the "oh that happens every year" type that people sometimes talk about or the climate change people blame on cars, industry, or whatever propaganda they're currently pushing.

People in the UK say it isn't getting hot. The bought out so-called meteorologists say it is, but when the temperatures are studied, it seems it's warmer at night and colder during the day. There is a group of people looking thoroughly at this in the UK. I myself haven't delved into it. I do know that, tho' 58 years is less than a blink of an eye regarding climate, things in Northern NM have changed in the past 4 years. We haven't had the heat-mitigating, crop protecting monsoons in July and August for a couple years. I started a journal last year, so I don't have info for previous years. Just observations and that isn't good enough. For the past two years the monsoons come in May after we start with a very clear, blue sky. The planes start to fly. You can see the haze being created. Then within hours or a day - boom - some rain. In Northern NM in May. Following are some extreme weather events.

Puebla Mexico end of May - Very unusual https://www.yahoo.com/news/hailstorm-covers-mexican-city-thick-215851243.html

The perps are killing off the ability of the planet to support life at all, with sky-sprayed atmospheric poisons and toxic/insoluble, inhalable nano-particles and damaging frequencies, while not only dimming essential sunlight (still also pushing solar panels!) but destroying the ozone layer by spraying sulphur dioxide (sulphuric acid, once meeting moisture) in the stratosphere, making sunlight ultimately deadly to life, while acidic precipitation polishes off essential marine, soil and other organisms at the very base of Life.

Gates has been doing this as a personal project all through 2024, with a hundred planes and in-flight refueling to max out the tonnage over both Poles, so far considerably thinning the ozone layer there at both Poles, while the WEF-agents infiltrating Canadian (and globally, other) governments have already underway a 5-year stratospheric spraying program that the US has apparently been signed onto as well.
